Listening To The Word of God. MCGI TOPIC REVIEW.

Matthew 28:19-20 (KJV) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

How can we be true disciples of Jesus Christ is we do not listen to the doctrines of Jesus Christ properly? Bro Eli Soriano once answered a question that to be a true disciple one must be obedient to the commandments of Jesus. This is true because a disciple is one who has learned from the master. So being the true disciples of Jesus Christ implies that we will be obedient to the commandments of God.

Now how can we obey what we do not understand? It is not going to be possible that someone will be able to obey the instructions which he doesn't know. So, listening to the doctrines of God as our Lord Jesus Christ has taught us through the Bible is very vital. We must make every effort to understand the doctrines.

1 Timothy 4:16 (KJV) Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

The Bible says we must take heed to the doctrines and continue in them. That is we must pay utmost attention to what we are hearing from the word of God. Our salvation is dependent on our ability to take heed of the doctrines.
