Forgive And Forget. MCGI TOPIC REVIEW
Forgiveness and forgetting. Forgiving people who do us wrong and forgetting about the evil things that they do for us. That is the biblical way of handling offenses. Love keeps no records of wrongs. When people walk in love, they will forget the bad things that others do unto them.
Forgiveness is one of the basic requirements for us to the salvation and deliverance from sins. We must confess our sins to God and He has promised to forgive us our trespasses. If we confess not our sins we will not be able to receive forgiveness of sins. The Bible admonishes us that we should forgive those who sin against us. We should not hold offense against anyone.
Many times, I have heard people say that they cannot forget the wrong things that others do unto them. Sometimes they say that it is not possible to forget what people do for us. I have come to understand why it is like that. It is because we do not walk in love. When we walk in love towards each other, we will be able to forgive and forget the offenses that people do unto us.
It's only when we forgive those who wrong us can we receive forgiveness from God.
To err is human and to forgive is divine.
If we want to forgive and forget, let us walk in love
