Communal Life and The Community Economy

I woke up this morning and observe the communal living of the people in my community.

Family Interaction And Friendship

The people in the community live like one big family. We interact with each other in a loving and friendly manner. The men cluster around with each in whichever house they wish every morning to discuss national issues and life challenges. The women get themselves busy in making the home and preparing food for the family.

Service Delivery

There are needs for some services which are equally made available by those who have such skills. For instance, I have to barb my hair this morning and good enough, there is a neighbor of mine who is a barber. He renders the service of barbing to those of us in the community. There are shoe menders, tailors, bricklayers and lots of skilled persons who deliver such services to us in the community.

The Suppliers

The women need groceries and other accessories to use in preparing what is needed in the home. Readily, there are those who sell such items. Items like charcoal, food items, toiletries and many more are readily available for purchase in the community.

The Community Economy

The community economy becomes active and viable because we all contribute our part in making one service or the other available in the community. We help one another in supplying their daily basic needs and at the same time we build up in one for ourselves.
