A STICH In TIME Saves NINE; Know Your FIRST AID
It's kinda funny that most of the basic first aid tricks I know, I learnt online. I've not had a severe case of emergency where i would need to administer one. Except one time, I didn't really do much, but that one simple thing I did, helped the person to stop convulsing and injure himself.
Talking about the basic first aid treatment like cleaning and dressing of wounds, yh I can do that, I think that's one of my specialty lol. I've always loved taking care of people, whenever I see someone in pain and in need of help, I always want to do everything within me to make sure they're okay. That was the major reason why I really wanted to study nursing.
Not everything learnt online is a total waste of data and time. There's this guy on IG that I follow, he gives first aid hacks Incases of emergency. one of my favorites was the one he made about trying to stop a patient from bleeding to death.
A video spawned online about a group of girlfriends fighting, one used a knife to stab the other one on the hand and because no one knew how to administer first aid to her before rushing her to the hospital, she died on arrival. Now the reason why this video was heartbreaking was the fact that her death would've been avoided, firstly because the injury was a stab on her hand and all they needed to do was to stop the blood from rushing out to save the girl's life.
Nobody knew how to administer first aid and that was how she passed on. The Internet was raging at that period. @Aproko doctor made a detailed video on what to do in cases like that to keep the patient from losing too much blood before getting to the hospital.
the only one I know I've practiced was when my friend had an episode and was shaking on the floor and hitting his head. I knew what to do at this state, all thanks to @Aproko doctor and YouTube .
I've learnt so many first aid hacks on how to stop a patient from bleeding, either it's a gunshot wound or a knife stab, I know what to do. although these methods look really scary to perform on a patient, but as long as it saves a life, then I'm gonna do it.

I don't know how to give a CPR, because I've never really had a scenario where I had to do one. If I find myself in such a situation, I already know what to do, as I've been watching YouTube videos on how to do one and the online doctor I mentioned earlier also made a video about it.
I know a lot about first aids that I'm so sure that if anyone around me is in need of one, my first aid skills will help them before the arrival of a doctor.
Imagine knowing how to help people get out of one of the scariest moments of their lives. I think it's pretty cool. So if you're like king Solomon that doesn't have any first aid skills up his sleeves, then you need to head to YouTube, learn a thing or two.
Remember;
A STICH IN TIME SAVES NINE
That first aid you'd administer to a patient can actually keep them from dying.
Indeed no information online is a waste because I myself have learned a lot especially from Aproko doctor and knowing how to administer simple first aid before the doctor arrives is a win for us all.
