Israel and the US bombed what they thought were Iranian military aircraft, but Iran had painted realistic decoys on the ground to deceive strikes — Business Insider reports Israel hit vintage F-4 Phantoms and Mi-17 helicopters that turned out to be flat anamorphic paintings. The IDF even posted strike footage claiming success before realizing they'd been duped.
