The Week's Highlights For Me - Boring Yet Exciting

I'm not one who gets bored easily but this week has somewhat been a bit boring for me and I may know the reason for this. It could be connected to why the week is also exciting for me. It's been months since I left home to a place I know nobody and I've been coping fine trying to make new friends.

I don't think I've had any boring week since I came here but this week has been different. Or maybe not so different but it just feels so. Here is the reason.

I've been trying to fast forward time to weekend when I will get to visit home for the holidays. My own way of doing that, is watching TV series since the week started while going about keeping my posting streak on Hive and engaging with friends on discord chats.

All that is exciting but I can't help but notice how boring it is when I look at the place I'm in, I just want to take a break from here and go somewhere for a while and I can't do that until the weekend which is finally here. It was worse when the week had just started as it began to feel like it was going too long.

Since I don't have much to do or help anyone with here, it just feels like I'm wasting time being here and I don't like feeling that way. It is why I feel bored about this place but I'm very much excited that it's about to change as I'll be going home soon to spend the holiday.

If only I was asked to share highlights from next week, it is a week I am most excited about and I believe I'll have a lot to share about it. Part of the many reasons I want to visit home before the new week begins is to see my family, for my birthday and also to attend a close cousin's wedding... All in the same week and I feel really excited.

I think the too much excitement of next week is to blame for making this week a little boring for me. But for someone who hardly feels bored, I've been getting rid of that feeling just fine. I know what to do for fun and feel happy anytime, this week's activities haven't been so different in that aspect.

I'm looking forward to the new week, the main highlight for this week is that, I'm getting set to hit the road for a home visit and for all the activities next week promises. So not so boring but very exciting right? Oh yeah, I totally agree with you hehe.
