The Productivity Puzzle: Navigating Stress To Achieve More

If there is one thing I always say when I'm tired while trying to get something done, it is "I hate stress" but in truth, there is no one who loves stress except those workaholics who do nothing but work work work. I believe, it's past the time when we should work too hard for little or same level of result others get for not working too hard.

Stress is a part of life, we can't do and achieve anything without going through one form of stress or the other. What we can do is, managing through the stress to achieve more. Stress can take a toll on one's mental health if not properly managed and everyday, we have to deal with a new kind or level of stress to achieve our goals.

So many think that they can achieve more when they let their body stress more over what they need to get done. You see them complaining so much and still trying to get it done without thinking of taking some rest. Rest is the last thing on some people's dictionary until they achieve what they are after which is not supposed to be.

Is it possible to avoid stress? I'll say it's very possible to avoid but we can't avoid it totally, it's a part of life and any living human have to go through stress to appreciate their achievements when they get to the finished line. But there are very practical ways to avoid stress and one of the ways is to get your things done early enough.

Are we ever going to get anything done if we avoid stress? Yeah, it's true that there are things that can not be done without us going through the stress in it. I've had a lot of times I tried to avoid the stress and ended up not achieving what I had wanted to. So even though we want to avoid stress, there are some we will have to face.

How do we get the best out of life in the midst of stress? Since we can't do without stress, getting the best out of life totally relies on how much we want to live life to the fullest while we achieve our targets. Time will never be enough or ever wait for us, the best we can do is manage our given time well enough to rest and work when we can.

Making the most out of life is appreciating what we have, can achieve and not wasting time on the ones we really can't achieve. Setting targets that are possibly achievable, keeping to time with no procrastination, doing one at a time and resting when we feel tired to regain lost strengths, they will help us make the most of life.

One thing we fail to realize that I'll love to remind us about is, over stressing doesn't get the work done or at most, it doesn't get it done well. When we learn to rest in between schedules and deadlines, we get to achieve more from our renewed strength and it's called being productive limiting stress that we can't do without in life.

The best way to avoid stress is not think too much. I can do it very easily and that's the reason I remain stress-free most of the time. But it's sure every time it's not possible to remain stress-free.

that bit about taking breaks between deadlines really landed. i see it every month end: when I push through tired, erors creep into my sheets and fixing them costs more time than a short break ever would :) even excel sulks when I don't rest. I now do one task at a time, breathe a bit, come back with fresher eyes' and the pace actually improves.
