The Filthy Fallout: An Urgent Need For Change

Honestly, all the kinds of pollution are affecting me in this area I found myself but if I will point out the one that's most urgent to be solved, it is land waste pollution. The noise pollution is another pressing issue but I can only blame our decision to stay close to the road since long ago.

But for land waste pollution, it is something else and requires the effort of not only the Government but of the individuals living around to bring a positive change that would benefit all of us. If there is one thing that is affecting our health, it is uncleanliness and it is in every sense.

Up till this day, I still give the shocked and pleasant look when I come across a very clean environment that my fellow citizens live in, it's a fascinating sight in an area that doesn't seem to care much about cleanliness. Of course, I don't look surprised when I see unkempt area either.

In my area, there are waste disposal spots provided by the community people in charge of environmental services but trust my people to dump their wastes wherever they want disregarding the efforts to keep the area clean. At this point, you can't just walk past some places.

One time, I walked past an area for the first time and it had been the last time I went there because of how badly they disposed their waste and the people there seem to be living just fine with it. It was a very disgusting sight and it made me wonder just how long a change will happen.

The land pollution is affecting a lot of things for myself and others, especially those who are trying hard to keep their side of the area clean. I'll say many people are not intentional enough about the cleanliness of their environment, maybe more awareness is needed about that.

Aside from creating the awareness, another solution to this issue is the government or community leaders making provisions for waste disposal spots and containers with clear signs for even the illiterates to understand. If possible, there should be ways to tax who fail to adhere.

One more thing I'd love to see happening that would resolve this issue is, creating and sharing ways for people to recycle wastes for other uses or to make money and the access should be available for many. There are people already making a lot of money from it which is good.

Do I see this pollution situation in my area ending any time soon? Honestly, I don't and from the things I think will resolve the issue, they are not an easy action to take. It will take a long time for these things to be put in place as it is the responsibility of the Government and her citizens.

Until then, I'll do the little I can from my end and hope that more people will build the same mindset to clean our environment and make it a worthy place to live a healthy life in as citizens.

It is a worldwide problem, and I think that as most of all the problems that concern us, the basic solution lies in people's education. If you look at countries like Japan, you can realize that they have no problem because they educate their children as good citizens from an early age. If we apply those methods in our countries, we would have other types of societies with zero pollution.

That's a really good strategy to solve this common problem, too bad many are not willing to take it up.

Sometimes when I see such things on tv and they say people are fine living with it I get shocked but now that you’re also saying it, it makes it worse. I’m over shocked!
They are fine living in it like how? Don’t they get sick, aren’t they disgusted?

My dear, I've seen worse in some other places. I think there's a mystery behind why they are not disgusted that I will never understand lol.

Pollution is directly proportional to urbanisation. More the man on planet, more it will be polluted. So to stop pollution not only effective means but education is also needed to protect our planet

Sadly! But yeah, good education about it will go a long way.

That's serious case, sometimes all these forms of pollution are just too much to bear but then what can one do

Nothing much my dear, even the little we do from where we are doesn't affect the whole that much.

My uncle who is a snake catcher has a saying, "Snakes are not as poisonous as human beings".
This line always come to my mind every time I see a person cause harm to themselves and others.
I hope for better!

Lol that's a deep saying!
Really, humans are the ones causing harm to themselves in so many ways.

Most times the stench alone will put you to a coma. It’s really sad to see people doing this to their own lands and place of living.

It's sad, especially in areas we have more educated people and those who claim to be clean people 😅
