The Changes In Friendship: From Girls To Ladies

Okay now, I think this throwback thing is becoming serious on my end. Serious because I see myself rooting out old images including the ugly and "want to forget" ones lol. This one for today is a sweet, memorable and lovely throwback for me but in it, it's a "not so fine" picture I wouldn't really want to share but I have to.

I've had this friend from my early teen age and honestly, I can't seem to remember how we became friends. One thing remains clear to me whenever I try to remember, Minaj (as I do call her) was the one who made friends with me and I loved her back. It's clear to me because she is extroverted, jovial and always ready to mingle wherever she finds herself which I loved about her since I'm like her opposite in that regard.

We've had our fights and bad days together but we never let it go on for days and somehow we enjoy each other's company so much that we do visit each other when we can't meet in the usual way we do. Like meeting after church service since we belong to the same church. I got to know Minaj in the year 2016, that is more than 8 years and we still remember each other once in a while till date.

One time we decided to see each other about three years ago at her workplace where I visited her during a school holiday. I can still remember how excited she was to see me and even more excited for what I got for her that she even made a video, this is just a cut from it. We don't spend much time together as we did about 8 years ago anymore but we still think about those days and laugh about it whenever we get the chance to see each other again.

Sometimes I would wonder how we stay friends for so long especially with the fact that we are leading so different lifestyles, we just recognise our friendship at the time we meet each other and after that, we're back to being whoever the world has taken us on to be somehow. Now, I'm a graduate and writing to my heart content and my friend is a business woman (honestly, I didn't think she'd be one lol) just a joke though.

I sent this picture to her and we both burst into laughter looking at the great changes that has happened to us, from girls to ladies. One got taller and the other got fatter, you figure out who did lol.

The last time we met and had so much fun was at a youth conference program where we spent three days camping and praising God. It was amazing to find her there even though we didn't tell each other we'd be there, the bonding after a while was beautiful. I don't know when next we will see each other again as life has got us very busy but she is in my heart... Minaj, my friend....
