The '90s Wasn't A Decade, It Was An Emotion

Sometimes I can't help but wish I was born much earlier before the 90s began, and yes, it's only because I want to enjoy and experience most of the music released at that time relating to them with my life in that decade. I'd say most of the songs from the 90's are a timeless masterpiece.

For about two days now, when I'm not playing the song, my head plays this song from the year 1995. A song I found by chance and I've been stuck in it's melody and all it's goodness, appreciating the artists behind it and those who are making the song trend again after so long.

I'll give a bug kudos to Daniel Hanson, a tiktoker I follow who made a cover of this song and made it trend so much on Tiktok again. I got to go search for the song because I loved his cover and I was curious to know just how much better the original will sound, and I wasn't disappointed.

One of the first comments I saw on the official video says and I quote "The '90s wasn't a decade, it was an emotion" and it all makes sense with my experience listening to songs from that decade. I tell you, this particular song is a perfect blend of emotions to prove the saying over again.

The English band, Take That on their second album in 1995 released this song "Back For Good" that caused a sensation in many parts of the world. It's a love song that goes beyond "I love you", realistic about love causing hurt and requiring forgiveness to continue to blossom.

I can't even share enough just how perfect the voices and melody of the song is for the lyrics, a combination that leaves every listener in an appreciative mood for music. At least, that is how it makes me feel and I wish I found it long ago as I can't wait to start singing it well while I listen.

Now that I think about it, most of the songs I know that were released in the '90s like "I Will Always Love You" By Whitney Houston, "My Heart Will Go On" by Celine Dion and "I Want It That Way" by The Backstreet Boys were a masterpiece that I envy the people of that time.

This song gives me the excitement and joy in listening to a sound that will last for a long time, I can't count how many times I've listened to it within the few days I came across it. More than just a song, it's a healing sound. The background voice play they did in it has to be my favourite.

I saw a 2013 video of one of the band artist, Gary Barlow performing the song with another band, JLS and I could bet it was a perfect forum for people of that time to reminisce on their memories regarding the song. I felt all the good feelings listening and I recommend you listen too.

This post perfectly captures the magic of '90s music! There’s something so timeless about songs from that era—they weren’t just melodies, they were emotions wrapped in lyrics. I'm not very familiar with 90s English songs but the same is true for Hindi old time songs as well. And who doesn't appreciate the beauty of 'My Heart Will Go On'? An absolute masterpiece ♥️
