Reshaping My Dreams: Little Wins

We dream dreams and as someone once said, dreams are not what happens when we are subconscious, it is something that keeps us awake. We wake up everyday, sometimes with a particular goal in mind while other times we just want to let life do its thing, trusting God to make everything fall in place. That being said, I believe as children, we had dreams. We always visualized how it would be once we become adults. We always had this particular vision of what we would want to be.

I had dreams. I still do now but not the same dreams I had as a child. As I grew older, I realized just how much I have drifted away from my dreams and somehow, it didn’t really bother me. I was just happy I was making progress and it was worth being happy for. Yes, I had times when I wished for more but instead of worrying about what has passed, I decided to let it go and focus on the now.

I now have a new dream and that dream is to make the most of my existence as long as I live. I have faced really hard times in so many ways but the more I see myself trying and putting in the effort to be better, it gives me purpose and hope that all will be well.

Now, my dream is to become successful. This is what keeps me lost in thought and what drives me every single day. I want to be successful financially of course but also in other aspects of my life. I want to be successful as a daughter, as a sister, as a friend, as a believer, as a writer and so much more. When I think of these things, they keep me going and willing to put in the work that is needed.

I believe a person is successful when they achieve a goal. So being successful doesn’t end and that is because we always have something we look forward to achieving. It could be visiting a particular place or going for a walk. The moment this is accomplished, I can say I’m successful in that aspect. So I won’t say there is a limit to how successful one can or should be.

I won’t categorize myself as completely successful yet, although I have been successful in so many areas of my life and that is because I still have so much things I want to accomplish. So, yes, a person who is financially free can be regarded as being successful but there are more to being successful as I have said.

As long as we dream, we have more chances to be successful. And a person can only stop dreaming when they die. So we are always in a position to either succeed or fail. The ball is in our court to decide which it should be.

No matter how little it may be, achieving it is success in that regard. Keep staying positive minded.
