Not How Far But How Well - A Recap On My Hive Account
It's one thing to be on Hive for a long time, it's another thing to be doing well in that long time you've been here. Hive is a vast platform with so many users, activities and even friendly competitions to keep you going while you're at it but not many do so well even if they've been here for long.
I'll be 3 years on Hive in a few months time and if I'm to give a recap, I won't focus on how far I've come but how well I've been doing in those years.
Hive is that one platform I became part of that has not only changed my financial life, but also every other aspect of my life. Thinking back from where I started, it's only being progress all along and I have a lot of people and things to thank for that.

In April last two years, I joined Hive with the mind of earning some money for myself as a student who needed more than my allowance to cope with school expenses. To stay active and still do well in my studies back then wasn't easy but it actually made me stronger when I got to learn balancing and doing one thing at a time with little or no procrastination.
Through those times until now, I've learnt a lot of ways to help my Hive account grow giving no chance to backwardness or what wouldn't favour my account.
I've learnt three major hacks that have helped my account to what it is today and they are nothing new to whoever have been here for sometime.
Have fun with Hive: I don't like anything that stresses me or doesn't make me be who I want to be, Hive is an opposite to that. I get to have fun instead of actually seeing it as a stress to create contents and engage with others. I find it really fun especially when I discover something new on the blockchain or learn something I've been trying to, Hive is building me to who I'm loving. I know it is mainly because I am having fun here rather than seeing it as a job.
Staying consistent and original: If there is one thing I'm proud of myself about is, the fact that I've been able to stay consistent with whatever I do here on Hive. That is something I lacked before I knew Hive, I'm always doing things close to deadlines and sometimes stop doing them when I can't motivate myself. On Hive, I've found a lot of motivation to stay consistent and I try to keep to originality so I don't lose my real self in all of it.
Engagement & Connection: Another thing that has helped my account to where it is now is, Engagement. Thanks to my onboarder, I learnt the importance of engagement early and I used it to my advantage. Not just engaging here on the platform, I also try to connect with my Hive friends off Hive and that has been a good driving force for me and my friends. I always see engagement as a magical activity, you get to connect with different people and somehow, you make a long term friendship out of them.
The drive to become financially independent.

Hive is like a second chance to having my dream life, a life where I wouldn't need to give up on some ideas because there is no money or support for it. I was never great at saving for future purposes but seeing how well I do it now gives me more reasons to see Hive in a great and positive light. Hive has taught me to have big dreams, invest in myself and learn to secure for the future.
From zero HP to above 7k HP is more than the evidence I need to say I have been doing well on Hive. From a wack writer to a better writer is something to boost of as well. I won't say I'm a great writer but from where my first year on Hive, I have improved a lot.
Learning more ways to help my account is one thing I do to keep going, I explore the blockchain daily and not just try to stick to only the things I know. The growing mindset tends to learn even the most irrelevant things in order not miss out on what is relevant.
My advice to my fellow Hivers
It is quite simple, easy and of the best results.
- Have fun with Hive, don't put pressure on yourself unnecessarily.
- Be motivated by the growth of others, not feeling bad that your growth isn't as much as theirs.
- Focus on growing your account in different aspects, don't limit yourself.
- Take engagement seriously and grow your circle on Hive.
Simple, isn't it? Yeah, so let's keep growing our accounts and focus on how well we are doing rather than how far we've been here.

(no space) to get help on Hive. InfoYeah, thanks sis
We keep growing while learning to do even better 😊
I think almost all of us came to this platform first time with the intention of earning. Later we realized the power of the hive and we started to enjoy it. I didn't imagine in the beginning time that I would stay here for a long time. But still, I am here and I have no plan to leave the platform. Now when I look back, I can only see the footsteps I also crossed more than two years here.
Your advice for newbies is indeed inspirational and beneficial.
