Over two weeks ago, I got reminded of an activity I tend to do with the Neoxian citizens to mark the end of the year and welcome the new year. Honestly, I almost didn't push through for this one but I figured I would be showing that I'm not so grateful for how far we've come as citizens.

So after a few thoughts, the third "Neoxian City End of Year/Award Night Party" came to play. I announced it with the help of Mr Neoxian, over 20 citizens showed interest to be in attendance and they didn't fail in attending as the party kick started at 9pm prompt with most of them there.

The party was held in the Neoxian City Discord Channel with about 20 attendees. As the host, I had everything ready for the party to go on smoothly and to keep to time as the party lasted for a little over 2 hours. The activities were fun and I'll share a brief about each one of them.

"2025 In Review Quiz" Session.

Even though we had citizens who joined a bit late in the year, some new citizens answered correctly some of the questions. As a matter of fact, two of them got to the winner list. I believe the session wasn't hard but I know the attendees will disagree with me hehe. Congrats to the winners. @afrikens @marsdave and @nkemakonam89

"Scavenger Hunt" Session.

I'll say this one was the most tensed as a lot kept complaining they had no clue what I was asking them to go in search for. The searches was on both Hive and on discord, all searches were done successfully regardless so I guess it wasn't that hard lol. "Random Games" Session.

This activity was a new one but thankfully, we had participants who accepted the challenge and did it well. @afrikens wrote a lovely letter of appreciation to Mr Neoxian, @mikechrist reminded us what some citizens are known for and @empressjay ran a quick giveaway for us.

The "Awards" Session.

I'm guessing this was the most interesting session but I'll find out to be sure. We took out time to appreciate special citizens who have contributed to the city in one way or the other starting from the promoters to Jobbers to active citizens and our most handsome and beautiful.

These were the awards given and their roles or title are shown in the title. Pardon my design level, I'm sure I'll do better when I get the chance another time lol.

There was also the "Shoutouts and Giveaways" where citizen also had fun and got some prizes for themselves. I had a lot of fun time hosting the citizens, so much laughter as I went through the activities with them. I believe they had fun too.

And finally, we gave the award of the year 2026 to the citizen who best fits it. He won three awards in one night, more than enough reasons to award him for the city of the year 2026. Big congrats to @justfavour He did show his heart of appreciation with a nice giveaway for attendees.

My Hive Recap!!!

It's the last day of the year and with this post of mine, I have posted every day since 1st January of 2022, no breaks until this day. It's something I wouldn't have believed I could do until I did the first year. With this consistency, I became better in creating contents and increasing my speed and creativity while I'm at it to draw engagement.

I won't fail to say a big thank you to my top supporters @intishar @abdul-qudus @nkemakonam89 @hopestylist and @princessbusayo you guys kept showing up and I don't take it for granted. Of course, the communities played a part in the ease of creating contents especially Hive learners as shown on the stat. We go again and better next year, hopefully I'll achieve more than I did in this year.
