My Visit To PH - A Favourite Holiday Destination
It was my first time at PH - Port Harcourt in Nigeria... Well, not my first time as dad told me we lived there for a few months when I was like 9 months old 😅 so I can't count that as been to PH before or can I?
So it was my first time to visit PH and I went there with my siblings to go see our mum. She had recently moved there for job and finding a better place to live in so we thought we should use our holiday time to go see her before I returned back to school.

I must say my time there was amazing, I had expectations on my way there and everything went over my expectations... That made it a memorable holiday for me. I can't talk about my holiday at PH without sharing a bit about the journey, it was a highlight to write about when I returned but I didn't get the time to.
It's no surprise how I remember almost every detail of that visit even though it's been more than a year already.
I took pictures randomly on our way to PH, it was a 3 hours drive with a car and I can still remember how we excitedly gist about our plans once we got to PH. You know that amazing thing where things do not only went as planned but even better, I had that experience at PH.
There were so activities we engaged in when we got to PH and now I wish I had taken pictures of everything so I could share, I was just too into the experience not to remember keeping memories with my phone camera haha.
These pictures were taken immediately we got to Port Harcourt, we couldn't stop smiling and being amazed at how different the state was from our own state where we traveled from. The clear skies and feeling of a different air got us more excited as we walked towards another vehicle to take us to mum's place.
Port Harcourt has beautiful places and I'm very grateful to a friend who took my sister and I on a tour around the city, it was expensive but very much worth it. We visited a huge mall, a playhouse, and a place they said has been used for movie scenes even though I've never seen a movie that reminded me of the place yet lol
We also had a food tour but I couldn't dare eat their cooked meals since I didn't want to rush back home because of stomach upset, I have a very soft stomach if you know what I mean haha. Here are few pictures of the tour I remember to take picture when we got there.
Mum also made our visit memorable with delicious meals and funny stories, we did went on a few outings as family and had fun night strolls. It isn't my most favourite holiday but it is definitely one of them. Uhmm, the truth is, I have no favourite as every holiday I spend at a different place gives me a different experience and memories.
But if I was to share about my worst holiday destination, I'll have one but thank goodness, I don't need to remember that now. My visit to PH was one of my favourite holiday destinations.
Special thanks to the community for bringing this topic up for users to share their experiences. I got to have a playback and smile so much while writing hehe. Hopefully, I'll get to have more visits to beautiful places in the future.

Port Harcourt is definitely one of the beautiful cities in Nigeria and Very expensive to live in. I hope those guys didn't reck the hell out of your purse
Port Harcourt is a cool city, it's normal that you guy's sees a different weather on getting to pH, whenever I visit port Harcourt, I make sure to go with jacket, so that to covered myself if the weather want to get out of hands.
Haha I'll take note of that on my next visit 😅
Thanks for stopping by
You are welcome
As I have heard, Portharchourt is a great place to go to or live but the cost of living over there is extremely high 🤔 I wanted to go serve there before but now, I have changed my mind. Lol I can't deal with a city so expensive with everything. I might end up eating once per day 😀
Lol I didn't hear before of how expensive it is to live there, I guess I should be avoiding that side for my service too 😂
I have been hearing about port harcourt by my beautiful wife , because she stayed there for some years , she told me the standard of living there is very high , is it true , I know some day I visit the place too and see all that she had said with my eyes.thanks for sharing.

I didn't live there for long to know about that but I think it's true coming from people who have lived there for a longer time
Guessing that really was an exciting experience...I have never gone to PH before, though I have friends there. My longer travel was from Jos to akwa ibom and that was a long time ago. And just traveling and experiencing new places is fun..I'm glad I was able to read this.. hopefully you did tell us about another of your holiday to PH or wherever you see your. Have a beautiful day ahead 🦋🥰
Wow I'd love to visit Akwa Ibom but no reason to go there yet except I have money to spare for a brief vacation over there 😅
Oh sure, I'll love to share more, thanks for stopping by
