My Favourite Kdrama Series Relating To "š‘«š’“š’Šš’—š’† š‘°š’š’” & š‘¹š’š’‚š’… š‘»š’“š’Šš’‘š’”" - Reviews

It's definitely going to be another Korean movie, if I should experience a drive-in cinema someday but maybe I'll go for one that isn't a series so I don't sleep there lol. I thought long and hard on my experience with "drive-ins and road trips", I've had a few road trips but never a drive-in experience.

While on that thought, these Korean series came to mind as they relate so well to the keywords of my thoughts. They are series that made road trips even more beautiful to think about and I can imagine a better experience seeing them in a drive-in cinema.

Yeah, they are series but seeing an episode in a drive-in cinema ain't bad at all especially "Encounter" as it's first episode suit the experience so well. If you've seen the series already, you would relate with what I'm talking about.

Okay, without more wasting of time or long talks... Here are my three favourite kdrama series relating to "Drive-ins & Road Trips".

Encounter (2018)

I had seen this series months ago but I saw a few of it's episode recently when I was reminded of it and I still had it saved in my movie list. I feel this series didn't get enough hype as it should, I can't even remember how I came about seeing it but it definitely wasn't hyped for me to see like many others I've seen and it's storyline is one of the best I've seen.

A storyline about a young boy who falls in love with a rich older divorcee l, a kinda love that seemed to be frowned upon but he didn't seem to care. They met on a trip they both went separately and since then, they both kept coming across each other as he began to work in her own company.

Like I had said, the first episode has everything to keep you wanting more till the end especially with how the trip went for the main characters.

Crash Landing On You (2019)

The best series I've seen of the two main characters that I couldn't get enough of them. The storyline is quite intense as it takes us back to the north and south korean past tension. Aside that, it is also a good recommendation if you want to watch an episode at a drive-in cinema or you want a series with some road trip scenes.

The storyline is about a Chaebol lady from south korea who had a paragliding mishap and crash land into the life of a North Korea army officer who seem uptight but gradually let loose as they fall in love with each other. All the attempts to take her back to her country in one piece and in secret took the viewers into some good adventures and road trips.

What is a korean series without some comedy? This series had a lot of it and that would make the experience even much better should you decide to see it at a drive-in cinema hehe.

Hometown Cha Cha Cha (2021)

Talk of a series with similar best first episode to keep viewers wanting more. I saw this series because of the female lead but I enjoyed a lot more in it than just looking at her face and everything she does, she's usually prefect in her roles I must say.

The storyline is about a dentist who stands up for herself in her workplace and hot fired, she decided to open up her own dental hospital. She found a place in a small town where she has to blend with the way of life there, she meets a guy who does literally anything and is good at it. Their flashbacks, pasts and journeys in finding the truth took on really some trips that are so entertaining.

And there is a lot of family based themes that made this series stand out from the others.

Of course, there are more but these are my favourite and highly recommended that you see them if you're yet to. What do you think about these series and their relation to the keywords? By the way, I didn't give rating because they all have same rating in my head... I enjoyed them all almost same way.

This is my entry to the June Inleo Prompt Challenge with Day 6 focus on "Drive Ins, Drive-in cinema, Road trips". Don't know what to write on Hive today? You're invited to participate.
