Love... Money... Heartbreak... Jessie's Tunes
It's Tuesday and for many Hivers who love music, it's a day to share some tunes, recommend and play to listen. I've been listening to some really cool songs recently that I thought I should join in #ttt to share a few of them today. I am one of those who enjoys songs from movies I see and have them downloaded but for today I'll be sharing three old songs I've added to my Playlist like two years ago and they aren't from any movie but from one artist I've come to love.
There are some songs that grabs my attention either through a cover I saw or on clips. These songs are old but I got reminded of her songs while I was going through my Playlist and I was searching for a song about a special meaning. You'll find out the song I found which of course is one of Jessie's.
So without wasting any more of your time, check out the three songs I have to share today... Three tunes from a unique artist, Jessie Reyez.
Jessie is a Canadian singer and a songwriter. Her 2016 single "Figures" peaked at number 58 on the Canadian Hot 100 in 2017, one of her best I must say. She won four nominations at the 2018 Juno Awards, winning Breakthrough Artist.
Yeah, she's a wonderful artist and more.

Love In The Dark By Jessie Reyez
This isn't the first song I heard her singing, I'm mentioning this first to go with my title. The song is about love but in the dark, this is a really sad love song as the subject she is directing the song to is dead or forever gone. She professes love and reliving memories even after the person is dead. The song sings more about how life was before the death happened.
"Love In The Dark" is a song about love after life and I must say her use of words in this song is unique if you listen closely to the lyrics. It's been a bit long I heard the song play on my playlist so it was very refreshing when I listened to it this morning. I love the beat and repetition of the "There's love in the dark" in the song.
Great One By Jessie Reyez
I added "Money" in my title because of this song that focuses on that aspect of money and it is the song I've been searching for, a song that sings positively about money. So yeah, Jessie got some words to share through her song about money. She starts with life being about love and trust but not without her loved one, who is her father. Well, her words says she has lost a very close friend and so appreciates who is alive with her.
And then she goes, "I want to make a billion dollars" and we all know the main reasons we make money is to live comfortably and help situations out. She wants to keep her dad happy and living well with the money she makes. I believe she has achieved this as she is a star artist. I can't wait to make a cover of this song so yeah, expect it.

And the last one I'd love to recommend, my favourite, the first song of hers I heard and the one with more heartbreaking words... It is "Figures". The contradicting words in the song makes it really heartbreaking to read if you look through the lyrics and her voice in the song, so perfect for the song. You will confirm why this song peaked on the Canadian Hot 100 in 2017, it is just a perfect heartbreaking song with the perfect voice and beat.
Jessie must have more songs but I'm yet to explore a lot more, I love these ones I have and "Figures" remains my favourite from her tunes.
These songs are worth recommending for your listening, learning and enjoyment and as for me, I'll simply just enjoy the beauty of Jessie in her songs and learn it well enough for covers share.
