Let The Broke Breathe, Don't Suffocate Them!

I have a lot of people around me who say they don't have money, they are broke, things are hard but I still see them eat when they are hungry, buy what they need at a particular time and even have some money saved.

Well, I am one of those people. No matter how broke I am which happens rarely thankfully to God who is my great provider, there are just some of those things I can't give up spending on. To be honest, I don't think I've experienced real brokenness but since I've had those times when I think twice before spending on my favourite and usual expenditures, I guess I've had a few broke moments.

So yeah, let the broke breathe, they are humans too.

There was one time I had just a thousand naira in my wallet, I was in school and I had called home for some allowance. Dad couldn't promise sending any at that time so I had to manage the thousand naira I had, I thought I would be able to manage it but then, my data got finished and I didn't even think much before I spent 500 naira on it and got back online. Was there food to eat? No, I thought I won't go hungry if I'm on phone and it worked because I drank enough water and used the remaining money to prepare for the next day's breakfast.

Sometimes when broke, you'll realize that having no lunch and dinner but only breakfast is a blessing 😂

Well, my case can be very different depending on how broke I am. And like I said, I've never been too broke not to enjoy a lot of things I do enjoy when I have a lot of money. Data is just a tip of what I can spend on without thinking because I can do a lot of things when I have data.

I get to eat what I crave for mostly when I'm broke 😂 you can imagine. When I have so much money, I tend not to feel hungry or have much cravings, I still don't know why it's like that for me. But when I have small or no money, I'm reminded of my favourite jollof rice joint, the shawarma shop and my favourite ice cream spot. And guess what! I do get to buy them and stay broke until I'm able to get money to go again.

I can't come and kill myself (now said as, let the broke breathe)
I would always say that when I spend my last dim on things I can't do without. Data, food and water are a necessity to me no matter what condition I'm in.

Maybe with the hike of fuel price, I won't try this again but before now, I tend not to trek much no matter how broke I am. I'll take bike or cab to anywhere I'm going to because I feel I'm saving up energy and time to do other things. I can't be wasting time and energy because I'm broke too na, abi? 😂

Broke or no broke, I shall breath and not be suffocated... My new and always slogan, dey play!

Ok, that was in the past, breath biko, I also get cravings when I'm low on cash, but when the money comes, I'm always satisfied even when I haven't eaten, someone should clear us on this science o😂😂

No matter what happens in this life, eat first !lol I don't think I will ever think twice about buying data and food to eat no matter how broke I'm. The trekking part I can still manage to do but I after I have eaten. Hahaha

May God always make provision for us with the hikes in fuel prices.

Wow, this one is one of the rich kids we have in naija 😂 imagine not trekking much in this country, you're truly rich. I used to be like that back in 100 level, but by the time my money finished, I became the best trekker on campus 😂

We need answers to that fact that when one is broke, you feel like eating all the whole food in the world because of hunger but doesn't happen when we have money. Same with me, when I am craving something and I don't have enough, I would get it with the phrase that, "I cannot kill myself, let me enjoy myself" 😃

Somehow, God always come through for us when we are broke.

The importance of food can't be overemphasized, so I get your point and do crave for it always.

It means food and internet bills both the things continue even if you are facing tough times because of financial problems. I can understand your point because we all almost belong to the same category and we have many similarities, especially in the case of the internet.

Me, all I see is TURKEY, TURKEY, TURKEY! But, no, you had to share with us after you have digested them all.

I think I'd rather go to bed hungry than be without data...not even now that my whole life is about it. Food, well, I am not much of an eater, so anything goes most times, except meat is involved.
