Joys Of The Follow Button - My Beautiful Hits

One of the sweetest kind of content I love to write, for the acknowledgement, the appreciation and the reminder feeling it gives. I've been on the platform for over two years now and following people who share good contents or for one reason or another, has been something I do every now and then. I once told myself, "If I can't be a good one to be followed, I should follow good ones" and that was when I had just started out on Hive.

Progressing forward, I've come to follow a lot of users and even more has followed me making me feel special. So yeah, I feel so happy to make people feel special with my follow even if I may not have much to offer them at the time I hit the follow button.

This week's prompt topic took me to my recent follows and I gave a smile when I saw the users on my recent follow, I was like "I do know the good ones indeed" 😍 To be honest, I don't hit the follow button without some thoughts, situations or decision happening and that is because I see that follow button as a sacred one to a whole lot of connection between that user and I.

When I first started on Hive, I followed just anyone who showed me little attention and after a few days, I don't find them anywhere. It kinda hurts so I tend to be more careful when I decide any follow and it has been working very fine for me. Until now, I still take very good considerations to heart before I hit the follow button.

In the last three months, I've followed only ten users on Hive. It isn't because there are no good authors around, it is just me proving to myself that every follow is a thread to tie a part of my journey on Hive. And with that in mind, here are my recent five out of ten followings and I'm choosing to highlight them on this post.

How situations bring happy times and moments to be grateful for, it's always a new feeling when I find a new follow and it happened with these users. What about these users drew me in?

I've been seeing her around loving Hive and sharing really nice contents especially of her fashion designing skills but I guess I was still thinking I won't be hitting the follow button for an ignore, so I held back from following her until we met in a competition where we shared a lot among ourselves, had our laughs together and I realized I had not followed her. That led me to her profile and I've been getting her contents firsthand on my feed.

You know that post that draws you in and leads you to the profile for a follow in less than five minutes... I found his post on my feed thanks to a reblog from @amiegeoffrey and I went on to read from him, it was simply beautiful. He has really good sense of humour and his posts are nice to read and understand easily. I also found out he's a witness on Hive, hitting the follow button felt so right and I felt I was supporting my beloved Hive Blockchain by following him. So yeah, I followed him the day I found him and supported his witness node.

A new Hive user who is more than just a user here, his arts will leave you almost speechless. I found his first post on Hive through an announcement made by an account I follow as regards to the Holozing project and I've been following him since then. I do leave comments in his post when I can and I've been learning a thing or two about art and sketching. I may not be into arts yet but he's one to teach what he enjoys doing so well.

One of my friends I met through neoxian city chat room, we would share jokes and laugh in the chat room, I also find his support on my contents sometimes. All these just drew me in and I hit the follow button to get to know him more through his contents. One major thing about him now is that, he is a student and a diligent one at that. Also consistent with keeping his audience busy on his contents, all these are beautiful about this follow.

A newbie I've been draw to help out in anyway I can as he is very eager to learn and grow on a platform he had just been introduced to. It's one thing to be in a very new environment with little knowledge, it's another to want to go beyond that. This user shares good contents from what I've seen and will be doing more when he understands better how to run his account here. I plan to help out when and where I can, he is a good addition to Hive and my following list.
