It's No Real Goal If Your Goal Is To Get A Job

Early this morning, I woke up to a notification on my phone saying something I couldn't agree more to "Getting a job isn't a real goal" and I took it as my response for today's topic. Maybe it was and still is, for people who want to believe it is but it isn't to those who have learned and realized better.

Before now, getting a job was the dream for many men and some women when they decide to become independent. It made a lot of sense then when people go to school for the sole purpose of getting a job and while some succeed at the end, some didn't... It still did make sense that way.

But for this generation and the ones to come? No, it doesn't make sense that much anymore and I don't think I need too many points to give for anyone to agree to this. So my advice to the coming generation is what I've written in the title.

"It's No Real Goal If Your Goal Is To Get A Job"

I hope this didn't in anyway sound that the coming generations should stay jobless or not take education seriously to graduate from schools. Because that isn't what I mean at all, it's actually far from it.

We know what goals are, even though our definition of it may differ but they should all mean one thing and that is trying to achieve something or trying to reach a point or somewhere. And I'm telling the coming generations to not focus on just that aspect of getting a job.

There are a lot of things to consider and point out to the coming generations why they shouldn't have this as a goal among others or don't have it at all if at all. Here are some I'll share.

The world is going digital with almost everything and I don't know other part of the world, but here in my part of the world, those relying on average salaries aren't doing so well with the economy. To get a job means to rely on fixed salaries, I don't see the future generation doing well if they still have this mindset.

I'm not totally against working under someone but I'll advice the coming generation thrive to work on themselves to be their own Boss and if possible, employ people or employ money to work for them. They will have to learn the ways of their generation to know how to go about that.

While the working experience may different from being your own Boss or working from home, choosing what works for you is very important. Even in our world now, people still choose the hard works over the smart works, it's quite understandable.

I believe the coming generation will have a much faster life than we have now, things are going really fast and a lot have improved. I can only try to imagine how faster and improved it would be in the future, they have to prepare for it too.
