Inked And Inspired: Exploring A Canvas Of Self-Expression

It took me a long time to understand that tattoos are not bad, that they actually represent different meanings to life especially on the person using them. The most beautiful reason I have learned about tattoos is, it is a kind of self expression.

You won't blame me but my background of learning that made tattoos look like an evil act but I can't say it was that background teachings that made me a non tattoo person today, I've learned how cool they are now but don't have any.

I'm a kind of person that reacts sensitively to drawings on my skin, since childhood. Mere pen ink mistake on my palm, I spend minutes to hours trying to clean it off and that is because I feel kind of dirty when I leave the ink on my skin.

I remember playing around with tattooed stickers they put in chewing gums I do buy then, a lot of kids like myself will buy the gums just because of the stickers in it so we could have them pasted on our skins and make fun of it till it wears off.

But then, while I bought a lot of it, it was to put on my mates hands and feet or wherever they wanted it on. As much as I didn't like it on my body, I totally loved it on others, it was beautiful to look at and I like their smiles because of it.

I have always been thought of as one who is scared of the idea of tattoo on my skin because of what our parents and elders have taught us but honestly, I never had any formal lesson from anywhere about tattoos, not from my dad either.

My love for tattoos is not on my skin but on the skin of others and yes, there has always been the temptation to try it out, have a beautiful flower sketch on my hand but the thought of it not leaving my skin for a while kinda turns me off.

I think my thought about tattoos changed positively when I had a friend who has a very beautiful butterfly tattoo on her shoulder. She's one of the kindest friend I've had and seeing her tattoo for the first time was a memorable sight.

She had this positive attitude about why she had the tattoo on, told me a story of how a butterfly stayed on her body for a short while and she couldn't forget the moment. It is a moment she always feel happy for whenever she thinks back.

I also realized that people who love beautiful sketches on their skin could come up with even the most littlest reason to do that. And I think that's another form of self expression, one that is being misunderstood by others like me before.

So if I am to give a top 3 of tattoos I love to see, since I don't know the names everyone of them has, I'll say I love tattoos that are simple, elegant and not very pronounced. If I ever get to have one in the future, it has to be a beautiful rose flower.

I'll love to have it on the back of my right palm, the one I'll see anytime and whenever but it isn't so big. One that could reveal to anyone who sees it that I am just simple and trying to live life as simply as possible. I love those kind of tattoos.

I do love tattoos, I got one myself on my arm and actually want more some day. One thing I really don't like though is when people don't think it through or get a tattoo while drunk by a friend, it just makes me sad cuz I know they will regret it and probably be stuck with it for the rest of their life since they can't afford getting it removed. Do it right tho and have a good reason for why and not overdoing it then tattoos can be amazing!

Those ones are a mistake, I don't understand why one will get drunk and go through the pain of getting a tattoo 😅
I mean, there are more amazing ways to get a tattoo.

I also thought tattoos are evil and those who use it are from the other world (you know what I mean 😄) but later, I got to know it's a way of expressing themselves but some people go the extreme to apply tattoos on all their bodies, some so thick that it covers every part of them. I also learnt that using tattoo can deprive one of donating blood if need be. I also love tattoos on others but not on myself and I remember those times, too when I'd buy chewing gums just to paste those lovely stickers on my palm or upper side of my hand. They look beautiful then but I can't do the real ones.

Lol I guess I'm not alone in this matter, I don't like it on me but I love the really cool ones on others 😁
It's cool to think back to those days of stickers from gum hehe.

I never thought tattoo is an evil thing but many people said to me that it was an evil act. I didn't believe them but I never liked tattoo but I have no objections ok if anyone draw a tattoo in their body parts. Still I feel, permanent tattoo is not a good thing as our opinion can change and what we like today is not necessary we will like in the future.

Lol I also think same too, if I ever get a tattoo done, it can't be a permanent one 😅

Tattooing is an art and there are those who like to be part of it or admire it, in both cases it is fine.

I understand the way you see tattooing, even in my family where there is no negative cultural history about tattoos they are not well seen, my parents don't like it, and have always been afraid of their children getting tattoos.

I also really enjoyed the tattoos that came on chewing gum. We can continue to enjoy temporary tattoos, they are also beautiful and best of all, you can always get a new one.

That's right, I also think the temporary ones are the best, we can always get a new one whenever 😁

Butterflies and flowers are very meaningful and always look nice when tattooed (obviously, if done by an expert).
I loved the design in the last picture.
