Crafting My Joy: The Art Of Making Happiness

I was going to title my response with "Happiness, A DIY Project" but I decided to change it last minute for reasons you'll read in my response. I'm sure you'd understand why happiness can be a "Do it yourself" project as it shouldn't be what we must rely on people to achieve but we do it ourselves, step by step just as the prompt says.

I think I've written on a similar prompt before and one of the perspectives I shared in that response was, there is a difference between joy and happiness. While happiness could actually rely on external or physical influences, joy is a more deeper and personal emotion that can be felt from something none other can actually explain.

I wouldn't want to go on and on about how happiness should be a craft of our own and not reliable to anything or anyone because actually, we need some people in our lives or some things to happen for us to be happy aside the times we make ourselves happy. Personally, I've had countless happy moments and if I'm being honest, there were people who contributed to it.

I know of many ways to stay happy and not be dismayed even in the face of worries and sad moments, one for those ways is connecting with friends or being with family. I remember a time I shared that my family is one of the sources of my happiness. Time changes but that fact still remains very true and I learn more about family and it's relation to how they do make me happy.

When we make choices, the result could decide if we would be happy or not. Some achievement targets we set ourselves, we become happy when we achieve them. But in real sense, it's a continuous process. We are happy for an achievement, we realize we have another to target to meet and our happiness becomes shortlived. Our Happiness are mostly shortlived.

What last for a longer period are the joys we get from things only we can explain or may not even have an explanation. For example, serving God genuinely brings more joy in you than what people will actually see in you. So it's safe to say happiness can be reliable on something to manifest but I do make ways for me to be happy even in the times there is no one to make me.
