Budget Guides, Avoiding Overspend & Debts
It's that time of the year where the rich spend so much to throw a massive parties, and where the poor gets even more poorer trying to compete with people who have more than them. It is the season of more expenses for those who aren't in business and the season for huge gains for those who has businesses.
And sadly, it is the time where crimes are on the increase. Just recently, I heard a man got robbed of his month's salary. It's quite obvious that he was tracked and the one behind it has too big of a plan for this season with no good plan on how to get the money for it.
It's a season of many happenings but how do I cope to avoid overspending and debts?
First of all, I'm not the kind that spends too much but yeah, I do spend unnecessarily sometimes which I am working on to improve on my saving habit. One thing I'm not so good at but I've tried and it worked very well for me is, Budgeting.
If there's one thing everyone should have in mind through this season, it is to budget and stay disciplined with their expenses.
Like I've said at the beginning, a lot of business people have been waiting for this season to come so they could make all the gains they had lost during the whole year. It's best to have that in mind before the season begin so you don't fall victim of these business people.
I've read in a lot of entries and I'll add the same thing in this post for you to read, preparing for this season shouldn't begin in this season but before the season begins. It is cheaper, easier and saves you time and energy all together.
Some of the few ways I've learnt to get through this season without going into debt or overspending my money, are what I'll share now.
I gave a small list of the ones I could think of in the image below, there are more but let's work with these ones that have proven to save more for many who have tried using it for themselves. Four ways to get through this season without going broke or over spending are:
Paying Less For More: Having quality in mind doesn't mean you should spend so much to get it, some items do not have to be of the best quality to function the same way as the best quality ones would function. This is why you should also have the ability to figure out items that would function for what you need it to do and pay the less to get it. Be smarter than those who just choose to pay so much instead and some even end up getting a poor quality item disguised as best quality item.
Buying In Bulk: This one should mostly be done long before the season begins, when things are still a little cheaper so you could buy those things that can't go bad before the season comes and go. Buying in bulk is one thing I learnt from dad and helped me save a lot when I was still in school. The joy that comes when you find out you bought this cheaper as people complain of high cost is priceless. You get to have some items in good measure at home and you saved a lot buying them, that is what happens when you buy in bulk before the season.
Buying The Affordable: Do not try to compete with others when it comes to spending, you will never get to satisfaction until you finish your money unnecessarily. It's always best to buy what you can afford and most especially, what you need. This is to avoid unnecessary or impulse buys and overspending. When you stick to your budget to buy what is needed and you avoid impulse buying as much as possible, you get to save more while having what you find important at that time.
Cost Negotiation: How do one do this? It's quite tricky and only few succeed to do this when they are out buying stuffs. I've gone to buy stuffs with family members and friends who amaze me at the way they go about this. Taking out the good ones and negotiating price so low to the extent that we spend too much time in buying one item but most times we succeed in taking the item home for the less payments. I don't know how often and easy it could be others but it is a good skill if I can develop it.
And that is all from me regarding this topic, let me in the comment section which you've tried and works for you. Also share more if you got any.

Hehe. The 4 things you mentioned here are already stuck in my mind and I won't forget those anytime unless I lose my memory. By the way, I have all the things in my character as a minimalist and I think both of us think about the finances in the same way. Wha do you think?

Yeah, that's awesome!
Let's keep it that way 😊
. I totally agree that preparing in advance is crucial. Your tips on paying less for more, buying in bulk early, opting for affordable choices, and mastering the art of cost negotiation are incredibly practical.
Yeah, practical indeed.
Buying the affordable is a good way to stay safe and not over spend in this period of the festive season.
Many want to buy the best forgetting their budge and the future and that ended up turning out bad at the end of January when they're broke and realised their mistakea.
That is true, trying to compete with others are doing is what causes them to buy more than they can afford most times.
Amazing write up dear, yeah it's the Yuletide period and it's high time we understand the fact that it's not a do-or-die thing, cut your costs, avoid overspending and incurring debt it's not an option.
