A Life At Risk For A Pay: Heart-Stopping Jobs Out There

For the past two weeks, I've been exposed in a training about the need for safety measures especially in job environment and seeing this prompt, I had no difficulty in deciding jobs that could take people's lives even with good satefy measures taken. They say life itself is a risk but trust me, these set of workers (dangerous job workers) are taking even more than double risks.

During the class, I couldn't help but wonder why anyone would choose to do such dangerous jobs but then, I'm reminded that many buildings, innovations and great discoveries won't happen if nobody decides to risk their lives in making them happen. It's shocking but it is a fact that some people actually love their job being dangerous.

The Construction workers are first on my list of heart-stopping jobs out there. Those guys that makes it possible for humans to own the highest buildings, towers and other high places. They are majorly people who work from heights and that is the first hazard in their jobs, the possibility of them falling down from the height and surviving is like 0, though things are put in place for safety.

The Firefighters have a dangerous job as well, with the fact that they are exposed to fire, and possibly more explosions when they try to save lives and properties from fire incidents. I've only seen it in movies but from the training I went through, there are a lot of safety measures put in place but somehow the lives of firefighters are still lost, fire is not something to deal with easily.

Another set of dangerous workers are the Pilots. They say, the safest route for transportation is air transportation but it is the one with the most fatal or deadly accident case since it's discovery. I learnt that an airplane can not fly without going through a vigorous safety checks and confirmations that it can fly. A little mistake or overlook could send a plane crashing with everyone in it, talk of a massive report of deaths.

The Miners who go underground, or deal with oil, chemical or any hazardous substances to discover useful innovations for human use are at constant risk with their lives. We hear of people who go away from home for weeks to the underground searching for what they are not sure yet sometimes, confined spaces can be very scary and dangerous but these set of people do it for the love or good pay by risking their lives.

The last but not the least on my list are the Search and Rescue teams. People who go in search of people or go to rescue people who have gone lost or in present danger. It's a obvious dangerous job because they may never know what awaits them where they go to search or rescue people. The job has helped saved lives but people have lost their lives trying to save lives.

Conclusively, these jobs are made to not employ just anyone for it except they go through qualifications, good training and constant supervision. It is the only way they have had successful projects in the various sector of dangerous jobs until today. There is always going to be hazards, accidents and occurances that will take lives from people who do these jobs but it can be controlled to minimum and it should be.

As you mentioned, there are risks in all the jobs you mentioned but I think firefighter seems the most dangerous job in my opinion as explosion occurs many times and it's easy to lose life.

Explosions happen in mining areas too, I really can't say any that's less riskier aside rescue team though

The jobs you mentioned are just but a few of the dangerous jobs out there, but as you said if no one takes the risk we won't have most of what we have today. We really need to appreciate these workers and not just those wealthy men out there.

There is a very long list of such jobs. Even some regular jobs are dangerous too.
