the water looks so muddy, where did it originate, do you know? It also looks like the houses' ground floors are pretty much at water level, house insurance (flood insurance) must cost a fortune there~

Not only did water arrive in many houses, but also mud which forced many people to throw away their household appliances.

It was a widespread disaster. The plains have flooded and several landslides have occurred in the hills !LOLZ

Damn. Where I live, if it rains too much, everything floods, since there's no real drainage and its farmland which is very flat for miles!

We are not used to floods, but with climate change it seems that we should become more and more accustomed to these events

Italy, traditionally, though, has suffered from bad floods and shoreline degradation for thousands of years, just not anything major in recent memory

This is also true. In the village where I live, 15 years ago, an agricultural area was transformed into a building area right next to where a river overflowed
