Today marks the end of an era.
My grandfather's Volkswagen Golf II, a faithful companion since he bought it new in 1991, and mine since 2007, is going to the scrapyard.
The recent accident sealed its fate.
It's a bittersweet goodbye.😢

You are absolutely right. It's just a car.
My father was driving my car during the accident.
He suffered a shattered pelvis and is now in a rehabilitation center, working hard to learn to walk again.
Despite the severity of his injuries, we are incredibly thankful he's alive, and the doctors are optimistic about his recovery.
That optimism about your father's recovery are good news.... the car can be replaced any other time.
