Un paseo inesperado por la Plaza Bolívar [Esp/Eng]

Es la primera vez que participo aquí y estoy emocionada por este nuevo espacio que tenemos para compartir las bellezas de nuestra isla. En esta oportunidad quiero contarles un poco acerca de mi mini aventura.

Hace un tiempo tuve que hacer unas cosas cerca de la Plaza Bolívar. La verdad, aun siendo de la isla, hay lugares que no visito mucho, y estaba un poco perdida porque no sabía dónde podía tomar el autobús de regreso a mi casa. Mientras pensaba qué hacer, recordé que alguien me había comentado que en la plaza colocan puestos para mostrar y vender artesanías de la isla. Le pregunté a un señor, porque no veía nada de eso, y me dijo que posiblemente los colocarían más tarde.

Aun así, había una tiendita abierta que me dio curiosidad y decidí entrar. No había nadie todavía, por lo temprano que era, pero la chica que atendía fue muy amable y pude preguntarle acerca de las artesanías que tenían. Me comentó que algunos eran hechos en ese mismo lugar, mientras que otras piezas provenían de otros artesanos que las dejaban allí para venderlas.

Había de todo: cuadros, mini esculturas, accesorios, y se notaba el gran talento que tienen los artesanos margariteños.

Luego de esa pequeña visita, llegó el momento de encontrar mi camino de regreso a casa. ¿Sabía hacia dónde ir? No. Pero las cosas que iba viendo por el camino eran tan bonitas que el paseo fue bastante agradable. Y lo mejor de todo no había tanto sol, así que fue una caminata muy relajante.

En este recorrido me encontré con una obra de arte realizada por Humberto Cazorla, con un nombre muy bonito "Río de luces". Está conformada por tres lápices que representan a tres grandes maestros de nuestra historia: Luis Beltrán Pietro Figueroa, Miguel Ángel Mata Silva y Jesús Rosas Marcano.

Ese día tomé muchas fotos, pero recientemente tuve un pequeño problema con mi teléfono, así que solo puedo mostrarles un pedacito muy pequeño de toda la belleza que se puede encontrar en la isla.

Y, por si aún se lo preguntan, sí, encontré el camino a la parada de autobús. Después de ver esa gran obra de arte, logré ubicarme mejor, regresé sana y salva a casita después de esta mini aventura.

It is the first time I participate here and I am excited about this new space we have to share the beauties of our island. This time I want to tell you a little bit about my mini adventure.

Some time ago I had to do some things near Plaza Bolivar. The truth is, even being from the island, there are places I don't visit much, and I was a little lost because I didn't know where I could take the bus back home. While I was thinking about what to do, I remembered that someone had told me that in the plaza they set up stalls to show and sell handicrafts from the island. I asked a man, because I didn't see anything like that, and he told me that they might be set up later.

Even so, there was a little shop open that made me curious and I decided to go in. There was no one there yet, because it was so early, but the girl who was attending was very kind and I was able to ask her about the handicrafts they had. She told me that some of them were made in the same place, while other pieces came from other artisans who left them there to sell them.

There was everything: paintings, mini sculptures, accessories, and you could see the great talent that the artisans of Margarita have.

After that little visit, it was time to find my way back home. Did I know where to go? No. But the things I was seeing along the way were so beautiful that the walk was quite pleasant. And best of all there wasn't that much sun, so it was a very relaxing walk.

On this walk I came across a work of art made by Humberto Cazorla, with a very nice name "Rio de luces". It is made up of three pencils representing three great masters of our history: Luis Beltrán Pietro Figueroa, Miguel Ángel Mata Silva and Jesús Rosas Marcano.

I took a lot of pictures that day, but recently I had a little problem with my phone, so I can only show you a very small piece of all the beauty that can be found on the island.

And, in case you are still wondering, yes, I found my way to the bus stop. After seeing that great work of art, I managed to get my bearings and made it back home safe and sound after this mini adventure.
