Recomendación: Cásate con mi esposo💍[Esp/Eng]

Espero se encuentren bien. En esta oportunidad les traigo otra recomendación de un kdrama corto con bastante drama, haciéndole justicia a su nombre y de los que para mí son mis favoritos. Cuando me empecé a ver este kdrama estaba súper feliz porque es la adaptación de un manhwa que lleva su mismo nombre y a mí me había encantado esa historia, así que esperaba que se mantuviera igual en la serie.

“Cásate con mi esposo” nos cuenta la historia de Kang Ji-won, una mujer que vive atrapada en un matrimonio infeliz con un esposo que no la valora, es egoísta, abusivo y que simplemente espera que Ji-won le solucione la vida. Pero todo da un giro porque fue diagnosticada con cáncer y, poco después, se entera de que su amiga de toda la vida es la amante de su esposo. Su vida termina cuando, al enfrentarlos, resulta asesinada.

I hope you are all well. This time, I bring you another recommendation for a short K-drama with plenty of drama, living up to its name and one of my favorites. When I started watching this K-drama, I was super happy because it's an adaptation of a manhwa with the same name, and I loved that story, so I hoped it would stay the same in the series.

“Marry My Husband” tells the story of Kang Ji-won, a woman trapped in an unhappy marriage with a husband who doesn't value her, is selfish, abusive, and simply expects Ji-won to fix his life. But everything takes a turn when she is diagnosed with cancer and, shortly after, she finds out that her lifelong friend is her husband's lover. Her life ends when, after confronting them, she is murdered.

Sin embargo, esto apenas comienza. Por alguna razón desconocida no muere, sino que retrocede 10 años en el pasado, justo antes de empezar a tomar las decisiones que la llevarían a esa vida catastrófica. Ji-won decide tomar un nuevo rumbo: quiere venganza, pero también espera ser feliz y poder superar su enfermedad.

A mí me encantó este kdrama sobre todo por Park Min-Young. He visto muchos de sus trabajos anteriores y en ninguno me decepciona, y aunque este no fuera mi favorito de ella, sin duda me encantó su interpretación.

For some unknown reason, she does not die, but instead goes back 10 years in time, just before she began making the decisions that would lead her to that catastrophic life. Ji-won decides to take a new path: she wants revenge, but she also hopes to be happy and overcome her illness.

I loved this K-drama, especially because of Park Min-Young. I have seen many of her previous works and none of them have disappointed me. Although this was not my favorite of hers, I certainly loved her performance.

Este kdrama trata uno de los géneros que más me gustan, los viajes en el tiempo. Me fascina la premisa de tener una segunda oportunidad para cambiar aquello que siempre pensaste que pudiste hacer diferente. Y con la vida que tuvo Ji-won, ella merecía esa oportunidad de ver su vida desde otra perspectiva y tomar todas aquellas oportunidades que dejó ir por complacer a otra persona.

Además, este kdrama tiene a los dos personajes más detestables para mí: el esposo (Park Min-hwan) y su supuesta mejor amiga (Jung Soo-min). Son esos personajes que odias porque odias. Min-hwan es un bueno para nada, tan pero tan inútil que te preguntas cómo Ji-won pudo estar tan ciega, cuando de lejos se notaba lo detestable que era. Soo-min, por otro lado, es el tipo de “amiga” con una envidia inmensa, que no puede concentrarse en su vida y quiere todo lo que tenga Ji-won, mientras finge estar preocupada por ella.

This K-drama deals with one of my favorite genres, time travel. I am fascinated by the premise of having a second chance to change what you always thought you could have done differently. And with the life Ji-won had, she deserved that opportunity to see her life from another perspective and take all those chances she let slip away to please someone else.

What's more, this K-drama has the two characters I find most detestable: her husband (Park Min-hwan) and her supposed best friend (Jung Soo-min). They're the kind of characters you hate because you hate them. Min-hwan is a good-for-nothing, so useless that you wonder how Ji-won could have been so blind, when it was obvious from a distance how detestable he was. Soo-min, on the other hand, is the kind of “friend” with immense envy, who can't focus on her own life and wants everything Ji-won has, while pretending to care about her.
