Hammer and Forge : The Vengeful Spirit

In order to rescue Jin Sakai's uncle, Shimura, he needs to forge a tool to climb the walls of Castle Kaneda. So, today I continue Jin's journey and story with Yuna and his blacksmith brother, Taka. I travel to south of Brown River Gorge, which was a location that not discovered by me yet. While approaching the location, which actually a village, huge village with big buildings, I heard a screaming and fighting ahead. I quickly change my course and headed to the voice location silently.

It's Yuna! Yuna was saving a lady in green from Mongol. There were several dead bodies lying on the ground, Yuna might have killed few of them with her archer, shooting from above the roof.

I can see there were two Mongols, struggling to avoid Yuna's attack. They never realize that I am targeting one of them from the roof behind them. I jumped from the roof top, activating my assassinate skill, which is a deadly skill, targeting one of the Mongol's archer.

As soon I landed my knife, slit the Mongol's throat, the lady in green took the chance to run away to safety. Well done lady, you've done me a favor by helping yourself.

I swapped my target to the next enemy, pierce my knife at the back of the enemy. That's the end of his life. Surprisingly, a bunch of Mongol suddenly running toward my location, ready for battle.

It's so thrill to see a fighting scene that happened at the rooftop, where Yuna and one shielded Mongol climbing to the rooftop and charge toward her, and the arrow keep blocked by the shield. Seems like they do have strategy in fighting.

An amazing battle scene, me fighting on the ground winning, and that's the same with Yuna, fighting on the rooftop. After killing her enemy, Yuna made a quick down and meet me.

I can see that she missed me already xD. Yuna told me that, Mongol came here a few days ago, took prisoner, and kill anyone who put up a fight. I told her that I need her brother to help forge a tools that can help me to climb Castle Takeda.

Yuna led the way. But before we heading to Taka's hiding place, we need to find that green lady. She suppose to be alive and hiding. She must be traumatize seeing the dead bodies and blood everywhere.

After a while, we found the green lady. She's really alive and hiding, scare to go out. But, with Yuna around, she seem calmer and feels secure. We take her with us, move to Kamatsu's Forge.

The green lady follow Yuna really close. That's how Yuna's presence make this story alive and immerse. It seem that the local really trust her and she has leadership vibe with her. Well, she's the one who save me from dying, I am sure that, her character has incredible role in shaping the beauty of the main story in this game.

We arrived at Komatsu's forge. Taka socked by my appearance, but he greet and welcome me. He's been praying for my protection this whole time. Taka listen everything that I need to save Shimura from Casle Takeda. Taka indeed excited to help but he need his assistance, Yukio. They got separated, Yukio was out looking for his wife and family.

Taka worries about the main forces of Mongol that was heading to this village. They are not a warrior, most of them are farmer and blacksmith. Yuna is the only worrior they had. But fear not, the legend, Jin Sakai, is here to protect them. The forge must be ready and it's Taka expertise that it will work.

I found Yukoi, well of course after killing the Mongol that scouting the house earlier. Yukio haven't found his wife yet, so he will not return, not until he found his wife.

There were Mongol in every corner. I don't really want to raise the alarm and risk Yukio's life. So I choose sneak attack. Silently, disabling Mongol that blocking our way.

Suddenly, we heard terrified scream, coming from twelve o'clock. Several Mongols were chasing two ladies, one of them was Yukio's wife. Without further thinking, I rushed forward, jump from a height, and climb over the fences, running toward the scene.

I manage to run passed all Mongols, straight to the ladies location. Now, it's a protect task. The Mongols take turn to targeting the ladies and try to kill them, and that's my task, to keep them both alive, while keep reducing the number of the Mongols.

That's the last of the enemy. I jumped as high as I can, swing my sword, and make a fatal blow to the Mongol.

Both of the ladies, alive, and they even more socked to find out that Yukio also still alive. The thanking me for saving them, but the whispered among them that they terrified with my insanity of killing the Mongol easily. They said that I am not human, a devil might be? They don't really feel easy around me. But, they don't have any other option other than to follow me.

Yukio seems believe in me, because he believe in Taka. So, the rest of the family, follow Yukio. Our little trip to return at the forge was slow and silent. I need it that way, so their live safe from harm, and I will less busy to protect them.

We finally reach the forge safe and sound. It's so much fun to see those four crossing the river. They choose that part on their own.

Yuna still not return yet, so I'm out searching for her. But, suddenly a group of patrolling passed by. Now that I am all alone, I am freely to pick all the fight I want to.

After defeating the patrol group, I found Yuna. She's on her way to rescue the last family that hiding somewhere in the village. So, I just need to follow her quietly. Then, when we reached this one house, we heard screaming.

We rushed into the house. We found out that the Mongols were interrogating the family. How fortunate that no one hurt, so we make our ambush attack and finished off all the Mongols inside the house. The family quickly recognize Yuna, and they tell Yuna that I am not human. It's clearly that they never saw a samurai in action before. They never saw a samurai that full of vengeance and hate, killing the Mongol like that's a hobby.

While we on our way back to the forge, another patrol team running and searching. Luckily they didn't saw us. I am ready for battle, anytime, but I choose not to. Their life is much more worth to save without risking it.

The forge finally lighted up. Smoke coming out from above the roof. This mean, Taka is working on something. Something so important that I am going to risk my life to defend the entrance of the forge. The Mongol main force, unfortunately, has arrived, and targeting the forge.

I eager to fight. But this was unusual fight. The Mongol come wave by wave. There were 4-5 waves, and each wave has more than five Mongols, I don't remembered. The attack force is not that hard to handle, what make it challenging was, some of them will ignore me and rushing inside the forge to kill any people they saw. I cannot risk any life since it will automatically failed the mission.

I lost count on how many I killed. But I assure, it's enough to keep me busy and lost focus on Yuna. Yuna almost die once, luckily I rescue her in time. There were lots of Mongol keep coming, and keep attacking me, Yuna, and keep targeting the people inside the forge.

They even brought dogs, not one dog, but a group of dogs. I get bitten once on my hand. Took a nice picture. It sure a memorable one. xD haha

Yuna recovering fast, and participates in battle again. I think this was the last one, then after that, the leader's group shows up.

The leader has my respect because of the intense battle he gave me. I use my Heavenly Strike skill on him. He was really tough. If it was a regular Mongol, on perfect hit from Heavenly Strike enough to kill, but this leader can take a few of that skill.

Yuna helped me from a distance, it was unfortunate for the leader to change target to Yuna. This give me a chance to stab him from the back while he changing his direction toward Yuna. That backstab killed that leader.

Taka and the other, were watching from inside the forge. Taka said, he never saw a samurai like that before.

Yuna shout boldly, that, Jin Sakai is more than just a samurai, he is a vengeful spirit, coming back from the death to slaughter the Mongols.

Taka, and others, has their eye opened today. They have witness a vengeful spirit and more than just a samurai, fighting for their safety. Now, they realize that, they need to fight back, but not as a warrior, but as a blacksmith. Forging strong weapon, and tools to take down Mongols. They now believe, this Vengeful Spirit is their way to their victory and freedom. They must help Jin.
