Cinema time during holiday, most fun time ever
Greetings! Welcome to my blog. I hope everyone is having a wonderful day. I'm still a bit unsteady on my feet due to vertigo that hit me yesterday. Thankfully, I was allowed to go home to rest. I was given the choice to either rest at home or in the hospital ward, and I chose to rest at home. I was given two days off, today and tomorrow, so I'm not working today. I'm still struggling to walk properly, but I'm grateful that I’m gradually recovering and getting stronger with each step.
This post is about our experience during the recent school holidays. We spent most of the week at my wife’s hometown. What made the trip memorable was that we took the kids to the cinema, which was the first time for our third and fourth children.
The cinema we visited is a new one in the town of Kota Marudu. It was also our first time going there as a family. We went in the afternoon, and there wasn’t a single customer in line to buy tickets. According to the ticket seller, the place only gets crowded in the evening when teenagers flock in to watch movies.
It was an interesting experience. We were the only ones in the cinema, so we could sit wherever we wanted. I chose a seat at the front, while my boys picked seats at the very back. I actually wanted to watch a cartoon or kid-friendly movie, but my boys insisted on watching a horror film. So, I gave in and let them choose the horror movie.
It was such a fun memory. We screamed together, got startled together, and laughed together throughout the horror movie. Despite it being a horror film, there wasn’t a trace of fear on my kids’ faces. All I saw was pure joy and excitement as we watched the movie together.
After the movie, we stopped by Secret Recipe restaurant. Even though the food there is quite expensive, we had budgeted for this family outing and were ready to have fun. I hope we can have this kind of experience again in the future, with the good health He grants us.
After spending time in Kota Marudu, my wife’s hometown, we returned home and resumed our daily activities. I went back to work in the garden, clearing the raised beds to plant vegetables again. I worked from morning till evening, through sunshine and rain. Two days later, I was hit by vertigo. This experience taught me to pace myself and prioritize rest and my health. I’m pushing myself to type this post as a reflection for the future. I hope we are all in good health and doing well.
Before I sign off, I’d like to extend my heartfelt thanks for the support from this community and everyone in general. Thank you, and I hope we meet again. Farewell.
