This Artisanal bread has me all bullish (Eng/Esp)
I received a very special package today, all the way from Cotacachi. Honestly, when @beelzael told me he was sending my wife and me a little present, I figured it would be some pretzels—I did not expect this amazing box to brighten my day.
I promised myself almost a year ago that I’d quit carbs, and for the most part, I’ve done pretty well. But today was not going to be one of those promise-keeping days. I had to try them—and yes, they’re as delicious as they look.
Talk about artisanal flavor—you can almost taste the care in every bite. I forgot to ask @beelzael, but I’m sure he’ll show up in the comments and tell me. This bread reminds me so much of a rye bread I used to buy—a German brand, coincidentally. And since @beelzael is German himself, that’s a detail worth mentioning.
Aside from my useless back (I can’t even carry the water jug upstairs, which is embarrassing), I’m having a great day overall. I squashed a big issue in @snapie—one that made the following filter stale—and I did it while snacking on this ridiculously delicious creamy insanity made of chochos and garlic. I don’t know what sort of black magic is in it, but I swear it inspired me to solve my logical conundrum.
Here’s a fun fact from after the Witness Show on Discord. When the actual show ended, people stuck around, and the conversation shifted to the usual topics: challenges, onboarding, retention, and, of course, how HBD fits into the equation.
At some point, a crypto-loving Dinosaur pointed out what he thinks could be one of the biggest obstacles to our HBD push: the distrust most people have toward crypto, and the fact that incentive systems aren’t always disclosed to businesses during onboarding—giving the “scam” narrative some ground to stand on. Maybe it wasn’t my place, but I felt like it needed to be said: it’s not always about the facts on a sheet—it’s about how you present them, how honest and transparent you are.
When @beelzael asked if him becoming an HBD-powered bakery benefited me, I answered with a smile and honesty: Of course it does. Then I explained how onboarding his customers could benefit him too. It’s only a “bad thing” if you present it as some kind of secret.
To me, @pandalacotacachi is poised to make a big splash on Hive—not only because @beelzael gets it, which is exactly what you need at the start—but because the product itself is something our community can be proud of. I can buy these insanely delicious things with HBD tokens I earned from tapping on a keyboard. What?
Happy to report that @pandalacotacachi onboarded its first customer today. @beelzael and I talked about the experience, and he’s already making adjustments to the process. I didn’t even have to say much. That’s how it works when you truly understand it.
At any rate, amigos, things are looking up. As far as I can tell, we’re poised to graze in greener pastures very, very soon. @zypto is about to go live, HBD initiatives are gaining momentum, and more Hive hubs are springing up out of our shared desire for financial sovereignty.
If this is the future of Hive: goods I love, sellers I trust, payments that actually work—then count me as part of the bullish team three times please.

¿Cómo no estar emocionado?

First one is always free, that's how they get ya! :P
those gateway pickles.
You might not know, but I hate pickles. Can't stand the smell. Or the taste.
Well, it's an acquired taste for sure. Do I think you're missing out? Yes. But I'm sure people who eat centipedes also think that I'm missing out too. So we're all good
dude pickles have a place in life... For example, and this is just one of them. You make yourself a tuna sandwich, right. You get the right bread, the tuna is ventresca or something of the level. Olive oil, maybe you even do it with homemade mayo...
And then...
You slap some pickles on that female dog... BOOM dude. I'm telling you.
Do it and embrace reality.
Yes, the bin!
A tuna sandwich with creamed corn and mayonnaise though, amazing.
Please stop giving away our secrets. Or half of them. Thanks for not telling them about the "secret ingredient".
Greetings,
A delicious treat is worth the momentary lapse.
I'd love to hear more about the German connection you mentioned.
Do you think the bread's origin story adds to its flavor?
more than its origin the way of preparing it. There's a few distinct styles of making bread. Ecuador, where I live now, its not particularly creative. There are good bakeries here, but I'm unaware of an Ecuadorian recipe.
That said, the black bread I eluded to. That is very European. I would venture to say an Ecuadorian that's never tried it would think its gone bad. The taste is very different.

Have a great day
🙏
Oh, the one you got there is actually not a rye bread, but a whole wheat sourdough seed bread, aka "Seed Bomb". As soon as you mentioned where @ankapolo is from, I thought "Dang, I should've sent the 100% Rye bread with Sunflower seeds" 😅 Next time!
Honestly, I was happy to find out that you're getting something from the process, too, since you're putting a lot of effort into it, time and energy. That should be rewarded.
I'm not sure if Pandala can live up to the expectations, but I would really love to get more customers, content creators and businesses on board. It's so much for fun than all that web2-media stuff. And I hope that people will see that. There's still a lot of work to do on the preparation side, but I think I got that one person on it. And his questions will help me with the next one.
So, thank you very much for enrolling me into this so neatly! Well done!

Those are some real Bauernbrot and it's definitely artisanal. It's the reason why I still love carbs 😄
X2 😅
if we lived close to each other, I would have to avoid you like a bad influence... I see what you make.. its sinful

Come get MOONed!
That bread package sounds amazing! I like how you connected it with Hive and HBD too. Supporting local businesses this way really shows the power of the community.
Bueno, ella seguro me corregira!
