Some other big projects have struggled to get funding. You have to persuade some whales to support you. I think your app adds value to Hive, but they get to decide.

For the amount you're asking for compared to what the project delivers, and the fact that you've done most of the development work already (which reduces the risk factor), it's a bit of a no-brainer. I voted for you, although I appreciate I'm not a huge stakeholder compared to target needed.

I wish the level of support proposals needed was linked to the funding they ask for, rather than being a flat number of votes determined by the return proposal whether they want 1000 HBD or a million. I might have to give this some further thought.....

Great thought about vote weight required relative to funding requested.

Would need some more nuance if it was going to actually work, otherwise, it could be open to abuse - but that is no different to the current system, in many ways.

I like the idea and the fact that you have been building something like this which will add fast paced and fun content to a mobile app.

My main questions are can you sustain the time and cost for running an app like this to bring in more users and grow your project.

Can you generate revenue with it and bring external funds into the eco-system if you do get a starting grant.

My biggest issue with all hive projects bar two is that they don't bring any money back into the eco-system and become dependant on grants to survive putting more sell pressure on the token. IMO the DHF is great for getting projects off the ground for the first while but all projects should become self sustainable and profitable in the near future.

I hear you, I don't want for Hive Snaps to depend on DHF, and I've been clear about it. I think we can find a way to make it self sustainable, but I'm first focused on building a user base.

So far de app requires no backend, therefor it technically could carry on, even if I was to disappear from the face of the earth. Anyone can take our code, fork it, and make it better.

That's fair enough. I'll give it a vote and unvote the return proposal which is double points towards it as long as the plan is to create a long term profitable app that grows our eco-system.

I'm not using the app (yet) - but I am already noticing the increase in content from Snaps.

Maybe @jarvie / @asgarth would consider this to a sub project of broader peakd funding proposals in the future given that snaps is part of the peakd platform?

Asgarth has been super supportive... it could be a convo for the future. Jarvie is good peeps, but I've not exchanged a word with him since Steemfest. But I dont think this is impossible.
