It seems like things are beginning to speed up a bit, and that is all sorts of exciting, I have to say. Today we added another HBD-accepting vendor. @caro-lina is officially accepting HBD as a form of payment for her amazing massages.

You might be wondering if the client pool is there for such a thing, and the answer is, at least in my opinion: a solid yes. Why? Well, for one, in Ecuadorian culture asking for discounts is as common as drinking water. It’s not even offensive to do so, regardless of what sort of service you offer. Well, a service like Carolina’s can now officially answer yes to the discount question.

As you might be thinking right now, this means that Carolina has to learn how to onboard people, how to onboard her own clients, make them part of Hive to access better rates. So yes, that means Carolina and I have a lot of lessons to parse through, and there will be many hours sitting in front of screens in the near future.

This I say to anyone who is doubting themselves right now, any onboarder that is. Don’t underestimate people. When it comes to the hustle, all you need to find is people with the right attitude, the hunger in their belly. The knowledge and the skills to make this whole “Hive thing” work will come with time and patience. With that said, someone could understand Hive in and out, and still lack the hunger to make it work. So notice how much more important hunger is than knowledge.

I would go as far as to say that to acquire knowledge you must feel the hunger. Hunger for improvement, hunger for change. Embrace the difficult for the potential of better tomorrows to come. Those are my allies. Those are the Hiveans I truly value.

You know, I said I was going to be in my shop today working on a pickup, and I will. It’s calling for me. But I would not feel at ease if I didn’t put words to pen, as they say, and didn’t figure out a bug on my little app that has been kicking me in the neck since last night. Good news on that front, I think I found it.

Parece que las cosas están empezando a acelerarse un poco, y eso me emociona bastante, tengo que decirlo. Hoy agregamos otro vendedor que acepta HBD. @caro-lina acepta oficialmente HBD como forma de pago por sus increíbles masajes.

Quizás te preguntes si existe el público para algo así, y la respuesta es, al menos en mi opinión: un sí rotundo. ¿Por qué? Bueno, para empezar, en la cultura ecuatoriana pedir descuentos es tan común como tomar agua. Ni siquiera es ofensivo hacerlo, sin importar el tipo de servicio que ofrezcas. Bueno, un servicio como el de Carolina ahora puede responder oficialmente que sí a la pregunta de los descuentos.

Como estarás pensando ahora, esto significa que Carolina tiene que aprender a incorporar personas, a incorporar a sus propios clientes y hacerlos parte de Hive para que accedan a mejores tarifas. Así que sí, eso significa que Carolina y yo tenemos muchas lecciones que repasar, y habrá muchas horas sentados frente a pantallas en un futuro cercano.

Esto se lo digo a cualquiera que esté dudando de sí mismo ahora, a cualquier onboarder. No subestimen a las personas. Cuando se trata del hustle, todo lo que necesitas es encontrar gente con la actitud correcta, con hambre en la barriga. El conocimiento y las habilidades para hacer que todo este “tema de Hive” funcione, vendrán con tiempo y paciencia. Dicho esto, alguien podría entender Hive de principio a fin y aun así carecer del hambre para hacerlo funcionar. Así que observa qué tan importante es el hambre comparado con el conocimiento.

Yo diría que para adquirir conocimiento primero debes sentir hambre. Hambre de mejora, hambre de cambio. Abraza lo difícil por el potencial de mejores mañanas por venir. Esos son mis aliados. Esos son los Hiveans que realmente valoro.

Sabes, dije que hoy estaría en mi taller trabajando en un pickup, y lo estaré. Me está llamando. Pero no me sentiría tranquilo si no pusiera palabras en papel, como dicen, y si no resolviera un bug en mi pequeña app que me ha estado pateando el cuello desde anoche. Buenas noticias sobre eso, creo que lo encontré.
