I feel with the way alts have been going that we really have moved away from the 4 year cycles. The main focus is mostly on Bitcoin and other ETF coins these days and will probably stay there for a while. I feel like the time for other coins, especially real decentralized ones will come, but we're still in the phase of profit over tech/ideals and not sure when that's gonna change - if ever, but I'm sure there'll be people looking for that, similar as the ones looking for privacy now and understanding its importance, there'll be others looking for decentralization, censorship resistence of text and social actions, etc. We just gotta stay patient and keep building while staying true to what this tech enables and to make sure inflation is going in the right hands.

Well, I am accumulating Hive and I can tell you that the price of Hive is not bothering me at all... Honestly, unless you are a top 20 witness there is no reason you should be worried about expenses running your witness node... I am not spending a single Hive coin, I am accumulating through my witness node, staking ALL author and curation rewards and even outright buying Hive. This is a great time to DCA into Hive if you really believe in Hive.

Having said all that my view is in a near term Hive will be going lower, most likely filling the gap down to 6.5 cents that happened in October as I have said right after that dip. Hive is in a clean sustained downtrend, we have lower lows and lower highs. That red candle in October pretty much guarantees that price will not be recovering in any major way until we fill the gap down. Hive is moving sideways with a downward bias. We just broke the series of lows we had after the dump so next real support is at 8.5 to 9 cents... But I would expect that level to be broken as well after some time. Hive is in a bear market and it feels like a late bear market, but it can last longer than people expect...

From the outside, we can't do anything; the chaos is widespread.

Internally, we can do a lot. Starting with putting an end to the nonsense of irresponsible curators who vote blindly, contributing to the continuous plunder.

I'm also a philanthropist, I'm also altruistic. But I'm not stupid!

We need to retain users who create good content and who buy HIVE, especially in these times of general decline when it's necessary to balance the scales.

If it will go down I intend to buy more. If it will go up I intend to buy more. Still I would prefer if prices would go up- I want to save for a camera as well. And doing that will be harder if prices will keep going down(because I will likely spend all my money on HP...)
