The sort of thing that only happens when you live in a farm. Right?

You maybe are me ten years ago... :smirk: This story kinda proves it. No need to kill any sentimental being. Thanks for doing what you do. BTW i'm an idiot often enough...

I see the dilemna with keeping rodents away and yet helping one. At least this one will have at least one more adventure. I wonder if there is a way to draw them (or put them) away to a place where their presence is not a problem.

I caught a shrew in a humane trap and took it about 1000 feet away. It came back. Next time, I took it a mile away near a prison. There were more, though. We should have fed the cat that showed up at our door when we moved in!

I'm fine with mice outside, because round here, if you've got mice it means you haven't got rats.

But if they come into the house (so far they haven't, they are probably smart enough to know we've got two very predatory cats), then I know we have to take them at least a mile away or they'll just find their way back to us.

I actually quite like mice, they're cute and generally harmless as long as they can't get at food or electric wires.
