Well, I think I almost got it. I do not have the courage tonight to merge this into main just yet, but I am close. Tomorrow, being a Sunday and all, may not be the day “the merge” happens, but then again, who knows.

As a sanity check of sorts, my wife and I will attempt to break routine and go fishing for a change. Although it is an activity I enjoy, and so does she, it is one that we seem to never find the time for, and that needs changing. But I digress.

I would like to close the week, however, with some wins. I think we all need them, and it certainly feels like I do. @snapie started signing blocks and even picked up a few more votes, pushing it over the one million Hive hump, which is something I am quite grateful for.

I could not help but notice the number of dead witnesses that accompany @snapie in the rankings. So many known Hiveans who, for one reason or another, retired the jersey. No judgment. I am simply making an observation.

As you can see from the picture I am sharing, I am not only writing this blog from https://beta.snapie.io , but I also have the chat window open. I have invited @mengao to come join me there for further testing. One has to break things to make sure they are good to go, and he is more than qualified to do some breaking.

I would really appreciate it if some of you, my friends, would give the chat a test run. I am sure it can be improved, and as it stands now it is pretty much an MVP, but I would like to get a few thumbs up before doing “the merge,” as I am calling it.

Why is “the merge” a big deal, you might ask? Well, for one thing, Snapie was included in Hive Keychain two days ago, so it needs to work well. Rehearsal is over, as some say. The last thing I want is another Hive app that does an excellent job of frustrating people. Not pointing fingers, but yeah.

At any rate, my friends, the alt season may never show up, who the hell knows, but we have been busy building some awesome things over at the Hiveverse. And as I said before, all I have left is to bet on effort.
