Time traveling: my first destination

"We should not dwell on our past mistakes but instead focus on correcting the present and avoiding them in the future."
But as someone with a vivid imagination, I enjoy revisiting the past and envisioning alternative scenarios. My cousin once said to me "you never know the evil that your boring lifestyle saves you from."
I've experienced numerous moments since the start of this year that are worth living. Many of them were both lovely and funny. However, there is this day I wish I could go back to, to relive and change my actions. And that day is the 6th of January.
My family had gone to the village for Christmas and New Year holidays. As usual, my routine was to sleep, wake up, eat, and then go back to sleep. People hardly even knew I was around. Despite being the youngest, people might think I am going to be spoiled and lazy. But no, I literally did every chore in the house, as I was the only one at home since my primary school days when my brothers and sisters left for boarding school. So going to the village, where I had lots of juniors, is always like heaven to me—no chores and no errands.
After the New Year, my brother, my cousins, and their friends started complaining that I was too indoors and never followed them on any of their outings. On the fifth of January, my cousin's friend told me that they would be going out and would stay there for a day. At first, I didn't want to go, but he convinced my mom for me to follow them.
The next day arrived, and I wasn't even prepared for the journey. One thing I hated was being taken unaware, leaving me scattered and disorganized. That morning, I started making complaints about not having anything to wear since I had already planned to wash my clothes on that day and wasn't aware of their plans.
Little did I know that they were well-prepared for me. When they heard me complaining to my sister, they told me not to worry, that I should just have my bath and be ready. When I finished cleaning up, I was shocked. They took me to a boutique and bought me clothes and even boxers. The outing was what they called 'come sun come rain, it must happen.' We left, and when we reached our destination, we lodged in a hotel.
The outing was interesting; we went to the beach, restaurants, and a recreational center. It was actually my first time riding in a speedboat. It was a really great outing, but still, nothing can change my nature, and having to move around so much is stressful for me, and I don't like stress at all. The only thing that kept me going was the assorted things I ate, including all the food we ordered at the hotel. I ate things that I didn't even know the names of that day.
We finally returned from the outing, and my mom and I had to go back home the next day because she was to resume her work, and I was to resume school.
That night, I couldn't even eat after we returned because of the amount of pizza we ate on our way. I was in the sitting room when I started feeling a sharp pain in my abdomen. I just concluded that it was probably going to stop on its own, but instead, it just kept getting worse. I didn't want to disturb my mom, so I just endured it.
I was able to endure it only until midnight when everybody was deep asleep. I was in my room, rolling on my bed from the pain I was feeling when I let out a shout of pain.
My mom rushed in immediately. I could see the fear on her face. Anytime my mom talked about me, she would always say I was the strongest among her children because of the way I endured anything. So, anytime I shouted like that, she would become really scared because she automatically knew that whatever it was is very serious.
"What is the problem?" she asked me.
"I don't know, my stomach is paining me badly." Immediately, she went into her room and brought her car key.
"Oya, oya, let's go."
"Go to where? What is wrong with him?" my sister said as she rushed into the room after hearing my mom shouting.
"Carry him to the car," my mom said as she held my hand and dragged me up. I couldn't even walk properly because of the pain. My mom and sister helped me to the car. My grandma woke up and followed us. We went to the hospital, and they gave me shots that stopped the pain and made me sleep.
The next morning, they did a scan and told us it was something I ate and prescribed some drugs for me. We had to reschedule our going back home. That night was a really scary night for my mom.
If I could go back in time, I would go back to that day and not follow them out. If I hadn't, my mom wouldn't be so worried and troubled. I could not read her mind that night, but I had never seen her so troubled and scared.
