The Affordable Care Act isn’t going anywhere — we’re already paying for it through our taxes. But what a lot of people want to see is some personal responsibility. If you're able-bodied, get off the couch and help carry some of the load.

People are tired of footing the bill for those who aren’t contributing — especially for individuals who aren’t even supposed to be in the country or for things like elective care that others should cover themselves.

No one’s saying scrap the system — just step up, volunteer, work part-time, do something. The middle class is carrying too much of the weight alone.
