Chicago’s New Tourism Slogan: Come for the Pizza, Stay Unsolved
Former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot once said Trump was “making up his own facts” about crime in the Windy City. Cute. Let’s take a look at the real scoreboard:
2021: 804 people killed
2022: 695 people killed
2023: 617 people killed
2024: 573 people killed
Now here’s the kicker — in 2024, police only solved about 25% of those murders, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. That means roughly 430 people were murdered… and their killers are still strolling around like it’s open mic night. 🥂
But hey, remember — the crime problem in Chicago is just a “myth.” Must be nice when your reality is safer than the actual streets.
So tell me — what level are you comfortable with?
800+ dead?
600 dead?
Or just the 400 killers walking free?
Because apparently, lowering the body count a little is now what passes for a “success story.”
