So guys it's the rainy season here in Nigeria and most of us that are stay-at-home workers and students are mostly indoors because it's chilly and a very good time to work indoors. It's tempting though cause there's this strong to be under the duvet having a very good time sleeping.

The rainy season something come with a serious threat and that is the threat of erosion. Ranging from our homes, gardens and even the environment, erosion is a serious threat. So today after the heavy rainfall I decided to fill the erosion path with some soil. It's a slope just in front of my house. Erosion paths can be filled with sand, soil, etc. It wasn't a very serious one but it had to be filled because starting it from this time it isn't serious prevents the greater damage.

Erosion has done a lot of damage to people's properties and I feel that if it was controlled and paid attention to at the early stage it wouldn't have gotten so bad. Regular inspection and maintenance helps to go a long way in it's prevention. But if it gets out of hand it's okay to consult a professional immediately. Sometimes its not really about us but it's about other people.

I started first by getting soil from some part of the house that wasn't affected by the rain, and then filled the washed path with it. It was not an easy one because I haven't handled the shovel in a while and it's left my hands with serious pains. But all the same it was worth it.

Así que chicos es la temporada de lluvias hete en Nigeria y la mayoría de nosotros que son trabajadores en casa y los estudiantes son en su mayoría en el interior, ya que es frío y un muy buen momento para trabajar en el interior. Sin embargo, es tentador porque se siente la fuerza de estar bajo el edredón pasando un buen rato durmiendo.

La temporada de lluvias viene acompañada de una grave amenaza: la erosión. La erosión es una grave amenaza para nuestras casas, nuestros jardines e incluso el medio ambiente. Así que hoy, después de las fuertes lluvias, he decidido rellenar el camino de la erosión con un poco de tierra. Es un talud justo delante de mi casa. Los caminos de erosión se pueden rellenar con arena, tierra, etc. No era muy grave pero había que rellenarlo porque empezarlo desde este momento que no es grave evita daños mayores.

La erosión ha causado muchos daños a las propiedades de la gente y creo que si se controlara y se le prestara atención desde el principio no habría llegado a tanto. Pero si se nos va de las manos, hay que consultar inmediatamente a un profesional. A veces no se trata de nosotros, sino de los demás.

Empecé primero por coger tierra de alguna parte de la casa que no estuviera afectada por la lluvia y rellené con ella el camino lavado. No fue facil porque hacia tiempo que no manejaba la pala y me habia dejado las manos con serios dolores. Pero a pesar de todo mereció la pena.
