Favourite Christmas thingy. Loh #267.

It is already Christmas season all over the world (wherever Christmas is celebrated) and major preparations are being made by several families to get them all set for the season.

Christmas season is a period of joy, a period of sharing, a period of happiness, joy and merry making. In my country, Christmas is a big deal. Many families and many workers save up money for this season so that they can splurge to their heart's satisfaction.

Children are sure to get new clothings, shoes and accessories. Lovers are sure to be spoiled by their partner while many families try to outdo themselves in gift giving. I enjoy doing these things myself but amongst all of these activities, I totally enjoy travelling or visiting friends and family the most.

One reason for this is that from January to November, I don't really make out time to visit them because I need to make ends meet and my business needs a hands on approach. I can't give my P.O.S machine to someone else especially someone who is not trained to use or else I might incure losses.

So the best time to travel or visit loved ones is during the Christmas season. It gives me ample opportunity to spend time with friends and family because many people would be at home resting.

Like wise, many businesses would have closed for the holidays which means less sales for me. So instead of just sitting still before businesses resume in January, I take this chance to travel.

Sometimes I travel to distant places like Cross River State or even Abuja just to relax and unwind with family over there. I also get to try out new delicacies, visit new places and have a great time.

I have heard that traveling is part of education and I think the saying is correct because I get to learn about new stuff when I travel.

This year's Christmas season will be no different. I will also travel but this time around, I won't go to a different state in my country. I will travel to another town within my city to celebrate Christmas with a loved one. My good friend and her family.

One other thing that makes me to enjoy travelling is that I get to do less work as there are children everywhere ready and willing to do chores around the house because they know that when they are done, they'll get treats.

Christmas season is such an amazing time. There's a lot to love about it.
