Whitetail deer-phone photography

This post is a promo for the Phonography Contest in the FeelGood Community. I love having a place that appreciates photos taken with my phone.
Contest prizes include Ecency Points, HSBI, ARCHON and LOH tokens

There are times when you have a chance to take photos and you don't have a camera close at hand. I am glad that phone cameras have improved so that we can get decent photos anytime!

As the sun was going down, the neighborhood deer herd was having dinner in the soybean field at the top of the hill.

It's easy to see why these are called Whitetail Deer. When alarmed, they raise their tail as they run away in an act called “flagging”.

The street in my neighborhood that takes you to the top of the hill where these pictures were taken is appropriately named Whitetail Lane.

This doe and her two fawns have been a common sight in my yard all summer. They eat a lot and it makes me wonder how many bushels of soybeans this farmer loses to feeding the deer!

As the sun gets lower in the sky, more and more deer come out of the woods.
Attention was turned toward the sky and taking pictures of the Comet but by one count just before it got too dark to see them there were 20 deer in the field.

I am always fascinated by such shots. On my way to work, I often see deer crossing the road in specific spots. And they always fascinate me. I'm in a better mood all day :)

Good afternoon dear friend @melinda010100
You live in a really beautiful place, with lots of wildlife, I love these shots, and as you say, it's great to have a place where photographs taken with a mobile phone are valued
Beautiful shots.

Some awesome pictures! I love spotting wild deer, such majestic creatures!

Testing the !SLOTH command/bot again, seems it ran out of credit some time ago, I hope it’s back!

Great to see you here! I don't think the token command worked?

It seems we have some more problems with the bot than just a lack of balance, we should hopefully have it up and running again soon and people can share that slothbuzz!

Beautiful captures as always. I had never seen a real deer in person so it's really nice to see your photos of deers. I think they're so pretty. What I see around here are goats. 😅 And yeah, I pretty much agree with you. This is a great place to feature our photos taken with our phone camera. Realistically, most photos now are taken using our phone. ☺

The only goats I ever see are fenced in on farms! They don't roam freely here. I enjoy seeing pictures of goats. 🙂

They are lovely creatures, except when they are eating my flowers, then I don't like them quite as much!

Aah very beautiful sight, these deers live on high altitude mostly, you're lucky to see them on nearby hills. Are those fern trees, the lush green background adds a distinct magic to the whole scene. Tenks for sharing these wonderful moments in ur life...

Sun set at such a hill point is very beautiful and amazing scene. Deers are always looks cute but I afraid of deers. Once a time a little child run after me and I just save my life otherwise he was very angry.

This appears to be the season of deer🦌
Their White tails are very attractive, no wonder it's a feature which defines their identity.

So do you mean that there are different kind of beers just like we have the Whitetail beer?

So, when they are about to run for life, they show their while tale, other times, hidden well! Pretty interesting.

Thanks for sharing those :)

I love the way they look so cute and adorable, like they are poised to take flight once disturbed.
Whitetail deer suits them alright.

20 deer in the field

Oh my. Our local group of deer is more like 5-7 that wonder through the fields and woods and our yard.

I saw Dame Edna years ago and always think of Wave your Gladiolas when I see a whitetail flagging 🤦
