The holidays are coming!
Our first snowfall this week was a clear reminder that the seasons have changed and the year is rapidly coming to an end.
Plans are being made for the annual December Advent contest that @ecency hosts each year. There will be prizes simply for answering a question on the post each day. @irisworld is busy working on holiday graphics and @xuwi is creating the posts and questions. Watch for it to begin on December 1st!
Stores are all set up and decorated to put their customers in the mood for Christmas shopping. These holiday photos were taken at Macy’s on State Street, which occupies the historic Marshall Field and Company Building.
My family will be coming this week to celebrate Thanksgiving together and help decorate my Christmas tree. The holidays will be here before I know it!

I've lost my enthusiasm. Maybe because all the small children in the family have grown up.
Same here, it's just me these days so Christmas just isn't all that special anymore!
My kids make sure I'm not alone and I am so grateful for them. Even though they have busy lives they text continuously all day and send pictures so that I feel included.

The old Miracle on 34th Street movie is to blame! Going to Macy's in NYC at Christmas time and seeing Santa was a dream come true for me! It didn't matter that I was 40 years old!
Christmas season is definitely my best time of the year.
The air feels different, the lovely decorations, the love shared amongst people and of course the family bonding time are few of the reasons why I love Christmas.
Looking forward to spending my Christmas with my loved ones too.
Grateful for a long and amazing year 2024.

Damn macys did a good job in the decoration, these trees look beautiful! By us it feels like everyone is putting up their tree a lot earlier than usual. Is that the same by you?
The store my daughter works at began putting out Christmas merchandise in August. The commercialization of Christmas.
