Pacific coastline birds

Along the Pacific coastline of Mexico there is a wide variety of bird life and it is a great place to do some birdwatching.
Gulls circle overhead, pelicans glide in formation just above the waves, and herons wade in the water along the shoreline in search of food.

My kids knew I would love seeing all these birds and kept sending me all these great photos when they were on holiday. Here are a few birds that they saw.

brown pelicans

The snowy egret is a medium-sized, white heron with black legs and bright yellow feet.

The Great White Egret, stands over 4 feet in height with a wingspan of more than 50 inches, it looks similar to the Snowy Egret but can be distinguished by its long black legs, black feet, stout yellow bill,.

I only wish I could have been there to hear the cries and calls of the birds and the sounds of the waves!

The first picture is very cool👍 a pair of pelicans standing proudly looking at the vast ocean. Btw, if I may know why your son didn't join here, even though the observations he made were very cool.

Great photos, Melinda! The pelicans are so funny, they literally blend in with the rocks. And the heron is so graceful and beautiful! Great selection of birds.

I'm a long way from the ocean and don't get to see these birds, but even here in Wisconsin there are seagulls. Especially at the city landfill/dump.

Amazing shots. They should have a lot of patience to capture the right moment and bird. Awesome.

Looks like the pacific cost line is the wild life sanctuary! No fear for them!

Thanks for showing us different kinds of birds photographs.

They know they are pretty safe there. Although their nests and chicks are vulnerable to many types of predators

I love ocean birds, good old pelicans and the snow egrets. The giant one really is a big bird, I really miss living in the tropical oceans areas now. There are birds here too, but just not the same!

Great pics 👍 I love pelicans.

pelicans glide in formation just above the waves

My favorite is when they disappear between swells as they skim along the surface

They are fun to watch. We often have white pelicans out on the river and it's fun to see the squadron flying past.
