Grilled peppers

Poblano peppers for a Memorial Day weekend grilling treat!

These peppers grill up nicely. They are darker and larger in size than jalapeños and have a milder heat level than jalapeños.

Wash peppers and remove all seeds and white tissue.

De-seeding the poblano peppers is probably the hardest part. I highly recommend wearing gloves, to avoid getting a capsaicin burn from the white tissue and seeds. The burning sensation, accompanied by pain, irritation, and redness of your skin. can last up to 24 hours or more.

These were lightly coated with a bit of oil to prevent them from sticking to the grill.

Taste testing the Queso Fresco is important. 😂

Melty cheesy goodness!

Can be served with a bit of salsa. We also had delicious BBQ pulled pork sandwiches and homemade coleslaw. A great weekend family get-together!

Thanks for the delightful comment!
I still have a couple of peppers leftover in the refrigerator and I'm thinking of the best way to use them. Maybe atop a steak!

Do you grow peppers in the garden? These were really expensive. $1.40 each. I can't wait for garden season to begin!

Yeah, I have a few. We planted them last week. I have planted chilies in previous years but only peppers this year.

You've given me an idea, I eat grilled sweet peppers on summer vacations, with cheese it must be very good, I'll use ewe's cheese because it's the speciality of the region. 😋

Now we're talking about some yummy stuff, I love grilled peppers. Especially the really spicy ones, but poblanos are good too. That looks awesome with queso fresco, great job!

Looks delicious 😋 We love poblano peppers. Sometimes we stuff them and sometimes we just grill them and then put slices on top of our hamburgers.

My plan is to make stuffed peppers this week. They freeze up nicely and then make an easy meal for one.

I also intend to start posting in this community soon as we know the quality of the things we make at home and they turn out to be much tastier.
