Neighborhood Critters

A large part of the joy of living where I do is being able to watch the wildlife that lives here, too.

A squirrel getting a drink from the birdbath while it is within sight of an entire river and creek full of water.

This heron appears to be a youngster that was probably raised in the rookery that is near the river bank.

A couple of wild turkeys in the soybean field at the top of the hill. We do have an abundance of turkeys in the neighborhood!

White tail deer on White tail Lane. That street was appropriately named!

Downy Woodpecker and American goldfinches

I love watching all the different types of wild birds that come to the feeders that I put out to attract them.

Hope you enjoyed the photos!

Thanks! The goldfinches have already got their winter colors. They seem so drab after the bright yellow summer feathers.

Darn! I'm jealous! You have so much better neighbors than me... Mine are banging on the floor and screaming... 😃

Great photos!!!

Is there anything that can be done about noisy neighbors? Play your music louder maybe?

Hehehehe... Good suggestion... 😃 I'm already practicing that... 😂

If they complain about the music just tell them you have been forced to play it loud to drown out the shouting. 😁

They are good neighbors, as long as I don't try to grow a garden. They eat a lot!

Squirrels are just moochers haha

White tail deer on White tail Lane.

That first deer is so perfect I thought it was a lawn statue 😅

The birds seldom use the bird bath, so at least that squirrel enjoys it! If you notice that arborvitae next to the deer you can see where it has been nibbling a few of the branches. All of the Arborvitae in the neighborhood and up being extremely misshapen at the end of winter.

Such a beautiful creatures. I always like the natural views, its beauty, its creatures even wild of them.
Such creatures are afraid of man as we are doing very bad to them and we should protect them as nature could be seen beautiful and pretty only because of such pretty creatures 🤩.
