Spread some Christmas cheer please!
On Wednesday night there was a fire in the garage of the apartment building that @manclar lives in. 3 cars burned and he helped his 84 year old neighbor evacuate down 13 flights in the smoke filled stairwells.
Everyone got out safely, and electricity and internet have been restored, but @manclar will be spending his Christmas cleaning up soot and smoke damage from his walls, ceiling, furniture, and clothes.

Yes, I am grateful to be alive, but now my property is in ruin, and financially I do not have the capacity to repair the damage, my financial situation does not allow it, I am so poor that the few resources I obtain I can only invest in food and pay for basic services, now all these repairs such as cleaning the walls require the purchase of detergents, degreasers and cleaning materials that are far from my purchasing power to acquire, not to mention that after removing all those stains I have to paint the walls and roof, so that costs more additional money spent on paint and brushes,so now I have to live in an environment full of soot, and that is my new anguish...I'm still alive yes, but I'm going to get sick if I can't clean this up.
And these products are expensive, I require several gallons of degreaser, a few kilos of detergent, and many rags, sponges to wash, etc., all of this costs a lot of money, and I don't have it.
But I am grateful to be alive...

At the main entrance to my home, notice the contrast between the black soot on the top and everything else is yellow that has been cleaned with the little I have, which is just water (I can't afford to buy detergents).
I feel very sad this Christmas, everything is dirty, everything smells burnt, I really feel bad, I try to do my best, but this situation surpasses me by a lot.
I won't share more photos with you because I'm not really in the mood, sorry =(
All you can do is clean up a little at a time. It will get better. Hope this post brings you some funds to buy the cleaning products that you need.
Yes, it is a long and time-consuming job, in my condition it will take me a long time to do it, but I will try to clean a little for 2 hours each day.
Hopefully I can save enough to buy degreaser and a lot of detergent to wash everything, and a few cleaning rags to clean the floors and walls (the rags get loaded with soot and there comes a point when they are no longer useful, they have to be thrown away).
I want my house clean, I feel very distressed!

Thank you, I want to get out of this nightmare soon. Before, years ago, several things happened to me in December, many years ago, such as the death of my parents, my best friend and other things. Thank you, there were no deaths, but many people were injured from inhaling smoke, including me, who now has a cough and breathing problems due to it.
