Major League baseball
I'm not a baseball fan, but my kids went to the game last night to cheer on the Milwaukee Brewers in the game against the Chicago Cubs.
Wrigley Field is a just a short train ride from their home and I was glad they took several photos for me.
The kids had tickets for great seats in the first row behind the Brewers dugout and I turned on the game on TV because i was certain that since I knew where to look I would be able to see them. But no such luck. The cameras never turned to the dugout, and actually did a pretty poor job of showing the crowd
.
It was disappointing that the Brewers lost but it's always fun to see the 2nd oldest major League baseball park in the United States. It was built in 1914 and it's always fun to see the ivy covered outfield walls.
My grandfather was a Cubs fan and seldom missed a game. When he died he was buried with Chicago Cubs players baseball cards in his pocket.
4-1 Chicago Cubs
Hey Chicago What do you say.?
The Cubs are going to win today.....
It must have been lots of fun. I like baseball, and the roar of a ballpark is always exciting.
It is exciting to cheer with the crowd!

Heh, every MLB game I've been to, I was supporting the visiting team too :) Always makes you lots of friends with the hometown crowd. We talked about going to one while we were in Chicago last month but there were too many things and not enough time for half of them. Do you know if you can bring cameras in, or does it have to be phone photography there?
My son lives in Chicago, but grew up in Wisconsin. He understands about wearing Green and Gold to a Chicago Bears game!
No cameras with detachable lens allowed.
great shots , and it looks like everyone is just having fun no matter the outcome.
atleast you don't get fights between club supporters like we have with soccer .
for some reason people use it as an excuse to get agressive .
Interesting to be in the home stadium of the Chicago Cubs.
It is full of baseball history and traditions!
I myself get a lot of joy from going to the stadium and watching a cricket match or any other sport, and from watching my favorite team win.
It is fun to feel like you are part of the action!
Qué hermosos recuerdos me trajo tu post. Mi niño jugaba pelota desde los seis años. Era su pasión. Pero al salir de Cuba, se le vio truncado su sueño. A veces nos vemos obligados a tomar decisiones que nos hacen quemar la mitad del corazón.
I know Cuba has a rich baseball tradition. I hope your son is still able to enjoy watching games and playing for fun once in a while.
Ohh!!
The phrase 'As American as baseball and apple pie' is commonly used to describe American traditions!
En Cuba eso es momento que casi todos aprecian mucho.
I know Cuba has a strong baseball tradition and many players have played for US teams.
Kids had done a lovely job by capturing some close up shots. Better luck next time, for their favorite team.
Both teams are having a good year!
In my native place, I have never seen baseball games! We have football (soccer) and cricket. But, I had never gone to stadium to cheer up the team! Always on TV!
Sorry to hear that your son's team lost the match!
Next time!

I actually prefer watching sports events on TV. You get to see everything so much better, plus the bathroom is close by and snacks are much cheaper!
Well said!

I'm not a huge fan of baseball but it must have been a blast.
I think they had a great time!
✨ I'm not that much of a baseball fan, but I can tell you for sure that I like the Cleveland Indians. They have a fascinating history. But I didn't know this one about the brewers. I have to learn a lot more.
My dear @melinda010100, how nice that your children took such splendid pictures. I have loved them; they move me. Baseball is a sport that I love, and I wish that before I leave this life, I could go to a major league game back in the United States. It's a dream.
I am impressed and moved by your grandfather's anecdote. I feel like you have given me a beautiful gift.
You are always you, beautiful, beautiful person, an angel.
With affection: me.
I sincerely hope you get to live out your dreams, dear friend! Both Wrigley Field, where the Cubs play, and American Family Stadium in Milwaukee where the Brewers play are each about an hours drive from my house. Both teams are doing well this year.
Amen
Good for them! I'm not a big baseball fan either having played as a kid I always found it so boring. But those ball parks are huge and when their team is winning those stands get packed to the very top! I'm glad they had a good time cheering on the Brewers!
