Grey-breasted Martins
Grey-breasted Martin's are fairly common in tropical towns and villages in South and Central America. They prefer open areas with tall trees or other structures that provide nest cavaties.
They resemble the female Purple Martin of North America.
Martins are known for their speed, agility, and their swooping and gliding flight patterns as they hunt for insects. They dive from the sky at great speeds with their wings tucked as they approach their nesting sites.
These photos are from my family albums and were taken by my kids in Zihuatanejo Mexico.

You must have many beautiful birds there?
Yes we do have some beautiful birds here, but there are a lot of people who love to take them as pets and sometimes hunt them down so the numbers are declining. I hope to be able to photograph them and share them here on Hive and the feater friend community.
Wow beautiful birds
They are lovely!
❣️
These are beautiful birds, but heard about them first time....
You may have Swallows there. They are related. belonging to the family Hirundinidae (order Passeriformes).
your son is really good at photographing birds, the results are spectacular. this bird looks like a swallow at first glance.
Thanks. Martin's and Swallows belong to the family Hirundinidae (order Passeriformes).
Wow!
So cute!
Excellent photos!
Thanks so much!
It is a great pleasure for me!
Beautiful birds. It takes a lot of effort to photograph birds, it's easier with a camera with a good telephoto lens, not with a phone I think.
I have seen these types of birds a lot in my local area but I had no idea they were named Martins.
I can't see comments! #FOMO

Very interesting. My parents have a big purple martin house and always love having them in the backyard in the summer. Sadly, the last time I took it down and cleaned it out for the winter, I closed all the doors to the inside nest spaces. My Dad passed away in December and I doubt if the house will get opened back up for the martins this year 🙁 I should have done it when I was there in early March...
What interesting birds!
