Garden dreaming
Taking a springtime walk through the Botanical gardens stirs my imagination and causes me to dream of having such magical beauty every day in my own garden!

I'm uncertain about the name of this one. Possibly toadflax.
The Pride of Madeira (Echium candicans) is a flowering shrub that can grow up to 8feet tall and comes from Madeira Island.
A display of Muscari, also known as Grape Hyacinth.
Lupine is native to North America and it often fills road ditches wit its lovely blossoms.
Leucojum, commonly referred to as snowflakes.

I usually try to grow plants that don't require much maintenance. The kids plant them for me and then all I have to do is water and enjoy!

I do enjoy dreaming of beautiful plants, but mine often don't live up to what I imagine they will look like!

Lovely stuff. I have some clumps of Muscari growing in our garden in a spot where there is almost no soil. They're clearly tough little things.
They are one of my favorites... The deep purple /blue is such a beautiful color to see in the garden.

It is a lovely place to go to take photos!
I haven't bought any flowers yet this year. I almost stopped the other day to see if I would bring home a geranium for beside my front door, but no. Soon though I'm thinking.
I need a gardener ! The summers get too hot for my aging self and although I'd love to see flowers all over like I used to do them, I already know when it gets too hot, I will stop taking the best care of them, so I don't get many anymore.
Sad, sad,,,,, but I'll still have a few pots and some are better than none for sure.
All my flowers and a couple veggies are in pots on my deck these days. My kids choose and purchase the plants and they do all the work of getting them potted. All I have to do is keep them watered! It gives me a reason to go outdoors every morning.
That is so wonderful that your kids know how much it means to you and they make sure it happens. That is a wonderful reason to go outdoors for sure.

Nice joyful post 🧚♀️ flowers are the best part of spring. My wife has more fairy lights to put out 🙄 we have some along our drive and on the bridge on the path to our garden. Enough for me but for her, enough is never enough lol
