Ecency Chatting and Waving

Ecency has brought us so many new features this past year that I can't even begin to list them all here!

But I want to tell you the I am really enjoying the Ecency Chat feature. It's something that many of us have been hoping for and I love being able to send Direct Private Messages and also participate in community group chats with other community members, all without needing to leave Ecency!

On the mobile app

If you have messages it will show the number of messages, similar to the way notifications show.

You can also send private messages from your friends profile page.

But my favorite part of Ecency chat is being able to translate the messages my friends send me! They can comfortably write in their own language and I can translate by pressing on their message and bringing up a menu where I can choose translate. All without leaving Ecency!

So far I have only had the opportunity to try translating messages from friends who write to me in Spanish. If you want to try it out you can send me a private message.

Ecency Waves continues to grow. I have made many new friends there and enjoy being able to keep up with what is happening in their day! The Ecency Waves app is a simple way to participate with short content and a great place for new onboards to get started, make a few friends, and learn, before they begin exploring all the other Ecency features.

Use tags on your #waves to give them more visibility.

The new gift box on each wave makes it easier to send Points and other 2nd layer tips to your fruends. This is a great way to send rewards when your voting power is low.

I'm always using ecency, but I don't know that you can chat with others privately... There's a message option that I didn't notice without you highlighting it now 😅 Thanks for that info.

Private messaging can be scammer friendly also.

If you receive messages you suspect are scams please let us know so that we can ban them.

Exactly ma, in the beginning when I started hive, I was sad no way to reach someone, expect reply oñ public places, ..i was bored and bothered, until one you @melinda010100 told me I can now chat with my @ecency app, i was grateful and happy, though some people here are doing racism and tribalism, but thats not our issues... thanks for this new features here Ecency, I want to also let you people know we need feature of viewing profile pictures with just click on the picture, not going inside the person wall posts to see when they were boarded to see their picture........❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️

I don't find that it is inconvenient for me to go to their profile page to see their picture. Could you explain why you think that should be changed?

Like sometimes
Someone will reply your messages, you might love to see his or her picture to know the person more or to follow.....

I never new that with ecency you can chart with a friend one on one if not this massage i came across now pls i need more directions on how to do that because am seeing it as some thing that will help me ask questions about some of this challenges am haveing, Thanks for sharing.

I am excited to have experienced almost all of the features and updates in #ecency
